Yeah...congratulations.

We finished 10 - 3 as well.

Neither of us made the playoffs.

But, enjoy the win.

I’m not arguing that Ole Miss isn’t a good team (they are) but their head coach is a petulant douche who runs up the score on a basketball school missing their best players and crows about it to a sideline reporter. He’s always been a douche…and that’s how he’ll be remembered when he fired yet again.

he's smug because he's right. everyone in the country knew when shitty teams that beat lots of shittier teams got in the playoffs they would lose..and they did...over and over and over.

When the pressure campaign against the committee to get the playoff format changed before the contract expires in 2026 works, be sure to thank Lane’s loud criticism for keeping the conversation going.

Some people understand the big picture, others don’t.

God damn... you didn't deserve to be in the playoff, quit whining.

This is the lowest the SEC has been in well over a decade and you finished tied for fourth in it with a loss to one of the few teams in the conference that wasn't good enough to make a bowl.

You mean teams like Georgia and Oregon?

Terrible coach. Just terrible! Guess that means he has to stay at Ole Miss. dang.

Doesn’t make any difference who the coach is. This is your ceiling. You will be that team that never wins anything of note but ruins a few teams seasons. It is what it is. Let him stay there forever. No major gig is beating down his door.

He's smug because, unlike most of the league, he didn't embarrass the SEC in the postseason.

Nah, I understand where you’re coming from and I understand your point.

But consider a moment the flip side. Kiffin is selling his program to the media, selling to a national audience, he’s selling to recruits, he’s selling to NIL/transfers.

Putting on a statement tonight is not only “sticking up” for his current team but selling the program for the future too. Lots of recruits and transfers like the swag and scoring points and winning…they don’t care if Duke is a hoops school and missing players tonight.

If Nebraska were ever good again someday (I can only hope) and right on the cusp, I’d be hoping Ruhle would be selling it like a mutha and putting on the best show he could to get eyes noticing.

Finally, if one of my favorite coaches ever, the old Pirate himself (RIP) didn’t think Kiffin was a bad guy then Lane probably isn’t that bad a guy. He’s just doing what he feels he needs to do to gain whatever edge he can in a hardass, cut throat business of big time CFB.

Like I said in my previous post, Kiffin can often be a goof … or a douche. But he’s built something pretty solid down there in Oxford.

dont be a dumbass...no where in my post did I say ole miss deserved to be in. nor did I lobby or say one word about ole miss deserving to be in it.
I said he's right because everyone knew when teams from weaker conferences who beat up on cupcakes would be exposed and the country would be watching a bunch of blowouts...which we were.
Our shot to get in was over when we lost to FL..his lobbying is all about next year and hopefully it'll help a 3 loss SEC team get in over a runner up in the pathetic ACC. Read between the lines...

Thats why he should never ever leave Oxford. He fits like a glove at Ole Piss! A dream made in heaven. He would be dumb if he ever leaves amd will instantly regret it.

He really is. It was cute and funny when he was just starting his career but he's a 50 year old man now. Some people just never grow up

Well, you get it as most others on here don't. It's essentially the same method that Spurrier used. They are very similar. Lane also doesn't mind being the villain.

We need to have a name for the Ole Miss - So. Carolina game. The 2 brat coaches bowl? Make them do interviews side by side: they’d be fighting within 2 minutes.
