I heard Kiffin threatened to burn his grandmother’s house down with her in it if he signed with State. So he played along with OM while they got mawmaw to a safe location.

But, I do not beleive the nonsense that a mother would double down on forcing both kids to play for a staff that would blackmail them with another child's position or playing time. That parent and that player would have no faith in said staff and the player would transfer out.
These stories are crazy, but it's crazier that they ever gain real traction with some.
