The psychological part is HUGE. Added the patience part - equally huge. Richt would always have his team emotional and believing. But when they got punched in the mouth they folded like a cheap suit. Has Kirby helped Georgia's chest? We will see

My bet is that UGA will be ready to play. It will be tight and I hope we win or at least hope Georgia wins if we don't. Should be a great game!

I know. But, Oklahoma was not that good and their defense was garbage. The most surprising thing in my opinion about the Rose Bowl is how easily Oklahoma was able to run on y'all. I was speechless. Bama can rotate 4-5 very, very good RBs and they have a RB playing QB.

maybe Bama will miss 2 FGs.

Not much strategy here, plus this is a near certainty.

Just remember, Bama has no chance. Come out at warmup and call them every kind of Nancy boy you can think of. And shoot them the bird and laugh at them like the pussys they are. Bama will run and hide at the first chance. I almost forgot, spit on them at the first and every chance you get. They will run from that too.

I didn't think they'd go for 242, but most of those came in the first half while UGA was still shellshocked. Also, OU has had a great run game since Riley arrived. Easily the most underrated part of their team. They averaged around 220 this year and it was their lowest total in his tenure.

Auburn put down the recipe. Double Calvin Ridley, and when they go deep, interfere. Giving up 15 is better than 40 +. Load the box to stop the run. Spy Jalen Hurts and make him pass.

Not really. If Auburn was playing a nearly healthy Bama Auburn would get their asses waxed like Clemson did. UGA better have some good blocking TEs to help the OL.

TEs and WRs block well on this team

We should seriously consider some double TE sets. Worked great on 1/9/12. Even got some great pass completions out of it.

You have to have transcendent qb play or bama has to miss an assload of field goals. If Fromm goes Stephen Garcia and they play lights out defense Georgia could win. Otherwise no.

I know nothing, but I did not lose.

My favorite team lost. I ate black eyed peas and sat in my recliner. I missed no tackles, missed no blocks, I just watched.

Most of the things I stated in the original post are axiomatic, “Don’t turn the ball over, special teams, take away best WR, etc”

AU did beat Bama and UGA. We did lose to UCF. It happens. It reflected in turnovers and special teams.

I’m just interested in the next game. Bama UGA. I enjoy seeing what others think. I enjoy guessing result and opining.

It’s cold here and I have not played golf since Sunday.

Sorry for partying.

Finally, they're happy. For the moment. They get to keep Aranda.

I'm just glad Bama had an extra week to prepare for
GA.

1. Do not turn the ball over. They do not need any help.
2. “Make Hurts play QB” as Muschamp would say. Disciplined lane rushing. Keep him in pocket.
3. Double Ridley. He is special.
4. Trust your QB to make plays down the field. It is hard to sustain a drive versus Bama so you need chunk plays.
5. Win special teams. Make your FGs; maybe Bama will miss 2 FGs. Get a return at some point that flips the field.
6. Think you can win. Many teams just see them and implode. Man up. Be patient. Understand that you just need one more Point than them. Shorten the game.

Good post. We did a good job against them with the exception of letting Ridley get loose and beat us. Also, it seemed everybody on the team but our HC/play caller thought we could win. He really choked in the last 5 minutes. Not saying we would've won, but after all those whippings he endured from Bama, he should've at least given our guys a fighting chance at the end to go with the game.

So in summary,

Don't let them run
Don't let them pass
Don't turn the ball over
Make big plays on offense
Win special teams

I agree that these will probably help.

I think Georgia needs in the 200-250 range to beat bama, anything less than that bama wins. Oh with zero turnovers.
Unless one of their backs brake off an extremely long run (like Chubb did when they played last),IMO, Georgia won't sniff a 200 yard rushing day.
