I think you try to limit his big runs shut down Dillin Jones who isn’t as good as Isaac Brown and force Leavitt to sit in the pocket in a hostile crowd.
For our secondary. Flip Braxton and Joseph and getting Denson and Kite back should clean up the busts.
I agree with this, at least from a "what we would typically do" stance.

Ole Miss is going to frick up our OL and we won’t be able to run the ball without option plays.
I don’t have faith in the defense being able to stop the Chambliss to Alexander connection all game when the LSU offense will likely sputter.

your spot on with that Golding will think...it'll have to be controlled pressure up front and pick your spots to blitz him. If they get to aggressive and force him to run he will and I don't think he wants that.
me on the other hand...having watched our first 2 games would much rather pressure him all night long with wreckless abandon. I'd much rather him trying to beat us with his legs than him sitting back there waiting for our coverage to fall apart.

we have been pretty serviceable over the middle, which coincidentally enough is were big arse Green does the bulk of his damage

I definitely see your thought process. However, if you pressure Leavitt too aggressively and consistently force him out of the pocket, I think you’re playing right into one of his strengths. He can beat you with his legs, and once you start overcommitting to him, the RPO game can eat you alive.
If Ole Miss finds a way to contain him, keep him in the pocket, take away the easy RPO stuff and force him to make tight-window throws against coverage. If Ole Miss can do that and avoid the busted coverages we’ve seen, I could absolutely see Leavitt throwing 2–3 picks and Ole Miss winning a tight one by 3–6 points.
Like I said, the athletes are there on both sides of the ball. This game will be decided by scheme and mistakes. Whoever wins that battle will IMO win this game. And I think it could go either way.
When all this is said and done Saturday night, both LSU and Ole Miss will learn a lot about their programs and what the rest of the season may look like. This will be the ultimate test for both programs.
