Too shiny.

ETA: That being said, unless he has a generational QB and an OC that knows how to use him in his pocket, Sumlin brings nothing to the table.

Sumlin had plenty of time to get it right at A&M but it was pretty clear about midway through his second season that there was gonna be some problems without Manziel. The fact he didn't get fired immediately after the Kyle Allen/Kyler Murray fiasco is crazy in hindsight.

If only there were 3 periods instead of 4 quarters.

Is this even true about Sumlin? I've seen references to it on tRant when he was at aTm but there's a lot of bullshite and trolling on this board.

No, he definitely has alcohol issues. I've personally witnessed them, though the LSU fans will say I am full of it ... He had alcohol issues at Arizona as well

There was a grainy video of him getting carried up to his room at an SEC road game.

Butch is much loved member of the Bama family now

Yep. But we had to break him from calling us the red team.

absolutely. Watching him on the sidelines and in the locker room videos, he appears to be a born and bred Bammer, and the players obviously love the guy. I think UT may have pulled the trigger too soon on Jones.

so did Sarkisian, and speaking of personally, so did I. I know from experience you can quit (11 years now) and watching Sarkisian, I think it's pretty clear he has too.

edit to note that I realize many folks can drink responsibly. Sarkisian and I are among those who sometimes can not.

I hope so. Sarkisian is going to be severely tested in Austin dealing with those sociopaths, not to mention the boosters who will want daily updates on everything behind the scenes

That was actually a sip fan acting as an A&M fan if you are talking about the letter incident. Not sure what other racism you'd be referencing

I asked for specific examples of racism directed towards Summerlin. Not some +30 years ago white guilt trip to appease the “woke” marxists.

Yeah same here. Sumlin is not hurting and if he loves the game, he'll love working at Alabama with Saban.
