This was tweeted by a sports anchor at CBS 42 in Birmingham yesterday evening:

Hearing that Kevin Sumlin met with Nick Saban in Miami. Not sure the substance of the meeting but could be a name to watch in the “Saban coaching rehab program”.

I'm starting to think Saban might be able to earn a certification as a Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor at the rate he's going. Start him a little coaches rehab center in retirement.

Just sayin'.

I always liked Sumlin, and never understood the disrespect and blatant racism shown him by A&M.

Well, the fight between A&M fans and you in this thread is about to be good.

Now I know you are just a Texas fan in disguise - had my suspicions. We gave Sumlin years to get it together. He just couldn't get it done

Multiple inaccuracies in this sentence.

Sumlin in his first three years at A&M:

28-11

Jimbo in his first three years at A&M:

26-10*

*Includes a global pandemic ravaged season with depleted rosters and no fans*

Makes you wonder why you don’t hear people in College Station speaking about Jimbo in the same way they did Sumlin.

Sumlin honestly wouldn't rate in the top three A&M coaches. But nobody can say we don't give coaches a chance. Even Fanchione, the worst mistake our boosters ever made, got four years. Sumlin got six ...

I've heard alcoholics (if rehabilitated and on a good leash) can be great and productive workers.

Is Sumlin even a good offensive coach? His track record without an elite OC (Dana Holgorsen and Kliff Kingsbury) and elite QB (Case Keenum and Johnny Manziel) is atrocious. He was the co-OC for two years at Oklahoma but didn't call plays. I don't see any evidence based on past history that Sumlin would be a good offensive coordinator.

Hey, half of my coworkers would qualify for alcoholic status. I like Sumlin, and I'm sure he's living well off his buyouts
