Kind of an odd direction to go since his style is a lot like Andy Kennedys. He relies a lot on the transfer department.

Of course he was a former player at Mississippi State and his father was a head coach for Mississippi State so there's that too.

All around just seems weird to me. Not saying he's bad, but not the guy I'd go with if I was Ole Miss.

Ole Miss hiring a coach who has had a show cause. What could go wrong?

Feels like OM is adopting the old Chicago Tribune business model. For decades the Trib didn't care about the product on the field because they knew fans would sell out Cubs games just to come to the stadium.

Why did it have to take Mike Tranghese to tell SEC schools that they have to actually try to identify reputable hires if they want to be good at basketball?

I could hear Kermit saying, "ummmmm kaaaaaaày" ... I mean it just works on so many levels.

Whole lot of LSU folks wanted Kermit Davis before we hired Wade. Definitely would have been alright with Davis, but very happy with Wade. It's out of the box.

The only thing people wondered about Kermit is for like his first decade at MTSU he didn't do much at all then the last 5-6 years he's had them very good. Not sure exactly what changed, but interesting to note.
