Kentucky steals LB from AU

Trevin Wallace, a top tier LB once thought to be an AU lock, has spurned AU at the last minute and committed to Kentucky.
The recruiting hits keep on coming for AU. AU can always go steal a LB from South Alabama, Jax State, or Stillman. Coach Harible is good with athletes on that level.

Auburn will soon be an afterthought in the West. Texas A&M is sliding into the big 3 in the West.

I agree. I think AU is about to struggle. They already are really.

Guess we can't help we're a football school now.

By literally nobody
Good get by UK and sucks to miss out on him, but kind of the reality when the only recruiting ties these kids have this year are coaches and not the schools, because of Covid, and you lose the DC and his position coach.

Embrace the football. Kentucky basketball will be back.

If by "steals" you mean "signs with UK as everyone expected for a while"
then I guess?

So we’re just making stuff up now?

Yes, with the previous staff.. the HC, DC and LB coach that aren’t there anymore.

It has been well known for some time now that he wasn’t signing with Auburn, not exactly breaking news.. but whatever you think makes for a good story.
The rant’s coverage of this Auburn coaching change has been interesting. It’s like it’s the first time some have experienced a coaching change and things that inevitably come with them. Coaching search rumors, recruiting, etc..

#4 ain’t that bad - except they’ll start bringing down the SOS of the top three - and GA from the other side. Could hurt some playoff chances in the long run.

Gus really fricked them. Did he just quit recruiting?

Auburn was never going to have a good class with this off-season, but if anyone knows how to go from 5-7 to 12-0 it’s Auburn. They can rebound.

Gus and/or somebody on the staff did. We signed the 12 he had committed and Harsin has picked up 2 more, but still sitting at 14.

And it helps that Auburn doesn't have a coach from east of Idaho.

Auburn already has the best LB corps in all of the SEC so losing one kid wont hurt.

Alabama
LSU
Texas A&M?
I guess that does track. Arkansas wouldn’t have much trouble dethroning A&M if they get it together though, and the Mississippi schools can still make a decent run at it if one can bury the other.
I think Auburn will retake their spot in the top 3 in a few years after they sort through the drama. They won’t be down for too long
