You do know what South and East means, right?

Poor child.

It seems crazy.

I guess the only P5 programs west of Austin are old PAC12 teams.

They should have scheduled a home and home Basket Bowl series against UCLA though back in the day.

That's not terribly surprising given for years bowl tie-ins outside of the BCS or CFP have been ACC/SEC. Or B10/SEC.

And we play an ACC team for one of our OOC games every season and used to play Indiana pretty regularly for that too.

No one plays out west because it's never on TV

It is if you drink coffee instead of liquor/beer on game Saturdays.

The OP’s point isn’t about latitude.

Attended the game in College Station so I know we’ve been that far West. Hung out in Austin for 4 days prior to the game and drove over, didn’t seem that far.

Yeah and honestly who is worth playing any further west football wise? USC? Might be cool to say we played them but I'd rather play teams further east

Honestly this thread proves texas should've gone to the pac 12 decades ago

I traveled to BYU for a Thursday night game to watch Dicenzo Miller and the Bulldogs beat the Cougars. Beautiful night for football.

Agree that’s weird especially in this day and age. I mean, a bowl game, ooc game, something.

Of course they probably haven’t qualified for many bowl games…

But just crazy they haven’t been further west than College Station since 1951.

Up until fairly recently Kentucky didn’t really pay much attention to football since they were invested heavily in basketball. I’m not surprised that they didn’t spend the money on traveling across the country for football games. No shame in that.
