Oklahoma St loses their last 6 and has an RPI of 41 vs Kentucky’s 30 and gets in. Still Kentucky’s fault for their late season play.

I have a feeling that if Kentucky had split those last four games the committee still would have looked for excuses to hold the SEC to ten teams in the tourney.

KY should have been in...it is not just about conference / non conference...Vandy shite the bed non conference with terrible losses..KY beating Ttech, Indiana, splitting with LU is just like conference wins

It was a 28 rpi

It was much better than that. Can see in Warren nolans site

Point still is RPI matters a lot less than conf record

Miss State fans love to use the word "dipshit" I notice.

It’s a backwards state. They have a limited vocabulary.

UK was in a slow death spiral all season long. I've never seen anything like it. The effort against Vandy was like dead men walking. I'm not at all surprised that the committee didn't select the Cats.

Your link includes the entire NCAA tournament games...says through July 6. RPI was in low-mid 20s (dep2nds on who you checked) when it was selection day for the tournament.

You think the entire tourney ended June 6 in 2011?

13-17 conf record, 0-1 in conf tourney LSU missed the tourney with a similar conf record and RPI of 22 not long ago.I Sorry, but as usual you dumb

LSU has a long history in the CWS, and a history as recently as last year playing way over their regular season offering effort when it is crunch time. They have a pedigree.

Kentucky is Kentucky.

I think KY did enough to get in. I think they got hosed personally.

Unfortunate for them as they are one of the top 64 teams. :(

surely you do not think the purpose of the committee is to put the top 64 teams in the tournament. it isn't and never has been. all of the automatic qualifiers because they won a minor conference get in. it's college and they give the little guy a chance. just a guess but i'd say the tourney puts about the top 35-40 teams in.

I approve of this message. The Ncaa is probably getting an ear full from programs outside of the Sec. Ky deserved to get in but like you said, they have to find a reason to get less talented teams in to make everyone happy.

We were punished for playing in a tough conference, Tanner stumbled through his reasoning. Still though, the team shouldn't leave it up to the committee, last year we were safely in and didn't have to sweat it out.

Your team sucks. That's what happened. But every program deals with that at some point. The administration doesn't help the team much. They could try and liquidate some scholarship money for non-athletic reasons to attract more talent. That's how some schools do it.
