South Carolina has been playing an 8 game SEC schedule plus Clempson every year and this year throw in UNC. Playing 9 games doesn't change our SOS especially since it's already ranked #1. Frankly If we add a 9th SEC team then I say drop Clempson off as that will make them scream and cry.

Basically the Kentucky, MSU, and Vandys of the SEC want to keep their extra rent a win so they can keep fans happy with a 7-5 or 8-4 record without needing to win a majority of their SEC games.

I thought Missouri was the one that fans on here telling us fans wanted 8 SEC games over 9 SEC and we are not worthy to be in the SEC.

It is if there's adequate financial incentive

Where's the incentive if there's no additional television money and you lose home gates for the trouble.

The lower half of the SEC (that's you Texas) needs to get bowl eligible

We have picked on the new teams until it’s boring. Id rather call out the teams who pound their chest about being founding SEC members but are scared to do what it takes to compete in the new reality of college football. Hell, Mizzou has already won their division more than MSU, OM, UK, and Vandy combined.

WEAK!

You got to go 9. It’s a no brainer.

Let’s hold our chips and get more information while we keep playing all the games that need to be played.

What’s the downside?

Texas being the root of the problem with the LHN and ESPN. Both are huge red flag.

none of it matters - the world will end Friday 9/1/23 once this game kicks off -

the 2 Miamis finally coming together to play a football game is absolutely a sign of the Apocalypse -

such a horrible deal by Sankey.
yes - I'm pretty sure Roy Kramer even at 93 years of age could broker a better deal than what Sankey hung around the SEC's collective neck -

it will be interesting to see if the Mouse cuts loose ESPN/ABC in FY2023 as has been rumored in some financial circles - ESPN may not be able to honor the SEC contract at that point -

4 SEC schools cannot stop the SEC from playing 9 conf games annually. My understanding is that it is split 7-7 on whether to go to 9 SEC games or stay at 8.

It is VERY disappointing that we will NOT get as much revenue as the Big10 teams will. I seriously would fire Sankey IF that is true.

we do, and I am glad we play schools outside of the SEC. if we go to 9 games, you no longer will see the fun OOC games.

Are you talking about playing Clemson yearly as an example will be taken away?

Seems the article states it's 8 SEC teams opposed to a 9 game schedule. Me as a fan bring on 9 SEC games, most UK fans would be in favor of 9, do away with one the patsy OCC schools.

So this is what it’s coming too. Forget the family that has been together since even way before 1932. You must be a young snowflake full of himself. How dare you try to divide this family just because there is a slight disagreement about scheduling. Are you one of those Progressives trying to suppress freedom of speech?

Put Mizzou at the top of your list.

Surely the lawyers wrote a vague enough contract to trigger a re-working of the contract from such a large move? Currently there are 56 SEC games; with 9, it would bump to 72. over a 25% increase in inventory, and overall improvement in quality and name brand of revenue sports.

After reading this, I have to ask the question: How does someone who clearly didn’t attend Vandy become a Vandy fan?

Completely stupid. Clemson is the one team we absolutely have to play every year.
