Some college baseball talking heads are saying that K.St, as the winner of the Big 12, are on the bubble to host because they are winners of a major conference AND no one in Texas will be hosting. Their feeling being that the committee will try & balance out the host sites as best they can once they get past the automatic 3-4-5 hosts.

I hate when they pull that bullshite.

KState's place holds like 2700 people and is in the middle of nowhere.

SC would at minimum have to get to the finals to get the #8 seed and possibly some help from other conference tournaments.

If we win, as unlikely as that is, I think we get it.

Holbrook: Team is 'leaning' toward throwing Nolan Belcher on Wednesday, Jordan Montgomery on Thursday. Not certain yet.

To be fair, simple arithmetic is not exactly up for debate.

I've said all along I think Louisville gets a national seed although Oregon has a great shot too.

"I think Louisville would get the eighth national seed if the season ended today, but also don't think Oregon is out of the mix, eiher, especially if it can take a midweek game against Oregon State, and finish the regular season with an impressive weekend series win. I also think Miss State or South Carolina could potentially enter the mix with VERY strong runs in Hoover, same with Indiana in the Big Ten tourney."

I was in on that chat today, watched the whole thing. But I disagree with him - neither SC or MSU will get a Super unless they were to win the SEC tourney, and neither of them are going to do that IMHO.

USC hasn't shown the moxy of a top 8 seed this season. Gamecocks actually haven't shown anything close to the mental toughness that has defined the Carolina program the past 3 seasons. it's been Jekyll & Hyde all season with this team. great group of guys - just hasn't clicked....yet?

congrats to MSU on the series win this past weekend. saw a photo of English and Bright grubbing on some 'que from the tailgates over the outfield wall at D-N. that kicks arse!

Folks at the Dude know how to treat opposing fans. I'd be willing to bet MSU baseball fans are some of the most knowledgable baseball fans in America
