Drinkwitz gets on my last nerve, but I love that he rubbed it in their faces last night.

Post game comment: “we left kansas bleeding again.”

Damn straight fire right there.

I like Drink. He’s an honest broker. He went into the belly of the beast and slayed that thing.

I was proud to see Robert Woodyard making plays last night, too. We lost so much talent from last years team, but I hated to lose Woodyard particularly. Good Alabama kid who paid his dues and was a senior. He was ripe for a big year but he wasn’t going to get on the field enough at AU because of Atkins. He did the right thing and it worked out for both teams. He’s a great player and I will enjoy watching him play for Mizzou this year. Great win for you guys last night.

I knew the history because I’m a history buff.

I think the hype video was kind of cool in a way because this rivalry is rooted in real blood. American on American blood. I can’t think of another college football rivalry rooted in real hatred.

As a history guy maybe that hype video elevated the rivalry for those who didn’t know the history behind it.

But you put a video like that out you’d better deliver and Kansas didn’t.

Lot to be said for a gracious winner. However since it’s mizzOU they get a pass, they’re not use to winning. Last co- conference championship was 57 years ago

Mississippi State was founded because the lawyers and doctors didn’t want poor farm people sending their kids to Ole Miss and vice versa, farmers didn’t want their kids going to the same school as the rich snobs

The Egg Bowl trophy was also created to help prevent the fans from rioting at the end of games

In the new SEC, coaches need to wear a muzzle. Loss of institutional control could hang on a colorful remark.

I totally agree. Drink should embrace the history mainly because on the Mizzou end. They got both sides covered. The Missouri Bushwackers who burned Lawrence... Confederate... The Missouri Tigers Home Guard were Union. Mizzou's library was used as a prison for confederates. Boone county outside of Columbia. A hotbed for the confederacy.

I understand you stomped a mud hole in KU's house, but be real.

You didn't go into the "belly of the best and slay him".

More like you went out back with your 410 and put a load of shot into the possum that won't stay out of your trashcan.

If you'd had Hardy it would have been a Super Goose not a 410, but the result would be the same.

frick kU. Jayhawks is a disgraceful name to take as their mascot. They were terrorist thugs who literally raped, murdered and stole on raids through western Missouri.

The raid on lawrence was a district response of the killings in Westport and Osceola.

Go Qauntrill go.
