He is a great coach and has possibly the best player in college football. The comeback last night says more about Carson Beck than it does anything about Alabama.
The QB thay follows Milroe next year will be a good indication how much momentum carries over from Saban. LSU was a contender for a good 7-8 years after Saban left (minus 2008 when they lost their qb right before the season ).
LSU’s first post Saban drop off was probably the 2013 defense.

Let’s slow the frick down and let it play out
That's an Auburn fan you quoted.
I agree with you that comparing him to Saban is very premature, but I do think he's better suited to this era of college football than Saban was. I think Saban had totally checked out of the NIL nonsense.

Unlike the Barners, who are making an art form out of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. You think you know misery now, 2 and 3 and it's about to get a lot worse in October.

Oh No!

You realize I feared Bama the most because of their defense, right?
Now you should fear the offense.

Why? Yall averaged 45+ a game for many years. Compare to 2019, 2020, and so on. The decline is already in motion and there is nothing you can do about it.

LOL, he has the most loaded roster in CFB.
Right, he loaded up on Day 1. Not many coaches can do that.

The games that actually mattered
So Kelly has lost 48 games in power conferences. How many of those mattered?

Yall are in for a rude awakening. Dude looked lost in the second half.
At no point did he ever look as out of sorts as Kirby did in the first half. I guess Kirby isn’t the answer at Georgia either

People on this board need to have a meeting and get universal on their troll narrative. Was there a mass exodus or is Deboer winning with Saban's players? Which one do you people want to go with?

This cracks me up too. Beck did whatever he wanted all second half while the Alabama offense completely stalled out. Reality is the gumps were 20 yards and one bad qb decision away from the worst home collapse in their team's history + burning couches in DeBoer's front yard.

It's amazing how small differences can change entire perceptions.

Might be better, actually. If Alabama’s recruiting machine maintains its momentum (and it looks like it has), then DeBoer’s younger, more current approach might just make Alabama the perennial favorite to win the NC year after year.
Excellent hire.

Deboer has a thing or two to learn judging by last night. He wont always have Saban's players.
You do realize there were potential recruits at the game last night? Future talent will continue to be interested in Alabama, even after Saban’s players are gone.

If he stays at Alabama and succeeds he will have the greatest win pct of all time
