HB did tackle lacy 1 on 1 for a loss on 3rd down in the first half. Must be a sign of sad days ahead for Bama when a crappy CB can take on your RB 1 on 1...

I must have missed where they give out an All-American award for the NB position. Feel free to point out the past few winners of that one to enlighten us. The kid is a playmaker, he's a sophomore and didn't have a good game right along side the rest of his teammates. Congrats on your title, Bama won it on the field.

As much as it pains me to say this I believe his 15 minutes of fame are over...He is feast or famine and teams are going to know he's coming with the strip/returns as Bama did starting next year.

As far as the NFL goes, Claiborne is going to be one of the best in the league, HB7 will be lucky to make it in the league...Unfortunate but true.

Saban isn't stupid, there is a reason Claiborne didn't see any passes but HB7 was picked on.

He also let Hanks drag him 5 yards further down the field. Again, JS.

HB7 is a great nickleback player he will make it into the league. He causes havoc on the field and can take down guys bigger than him. Bama receivers made great catches and AJ had a fantastic game. He was in tough situations because of the focus on Trent Richardson. He had to fight tall receivers downfield 1 on 1 which is tough for any nickleback.

You think it'll get easier for him in the NFL?

Alabama should be kissing Honey Badger's arse because he played a hell of a game against Georgia. We lose that
game and y'all don't even make it to a BCS bowl. So when go to bed tonight thank God for the Honey Badger

By 15 minutes of fame being over I don't mean he'll never be heard from again...Obviously his nickname alone will cause people to continue to make a big deal when he makes plays.

What I'm saying is he WILL NOT be a heisman candidate next year, not even close.

Will he make plays? Yes
Will it be every single game as it was this year? Probably not.

What he did this year was flukish, even for someone of his ability.

This quote must've made the Bobby Hebert show today.

We got it guys.

Thank you Honey Badger for returning a punt versus UGA and setting up your epic fail of a game Monday night.

Also, thank you for letting a 5-9 walk-on take your manhood.

No of course not but a nickle player usually has help from the safeties downfield.

I ain't naming names but that thread has some GEMS.

To illustrate-

quote:

No way LSU loses this one. This team will be so hyped for this game I doubt McCarron survives the first Quarter. Second half will be all LSU. I am a realist, but have never felt so sure of a win as I am this one.

Damn

He really didn't have a bad game. He wasn't abused in coverage. Not once.

Perfect throws by McCarron to bigger receivers resulted in a lot of catches by the players he was defending. This had a lot more to do with McCarron than Mathieu.

He's not a cover corner, at least that's not his true position. But Alabama spread the field and forced him to be that.

Alabama's success had a lot more to do with their own doing than any LSU player did. They executed. Even perfect defense wasn't enough at times.

Gay is a lot bigger than TM. TM in coverage in the NFL will not end well. You're talking about premier athletes with premier size and abilities.

He's 4" taller and 10lbs heavier. Hardly a lot bigger and TM will put on more weight before he's drafted. He's perfect for a zone blitz scheme. He won't ever be a shut down corner but he has a place in the NFL. I love how y'all are trying to downplay him though.

The point is that if HB7 has a quiet game he is a liability for LSU. Without the huge, game-changing plays happening for him he is one of our weaker starters.

Claiborne, on the other hand, can have a quiet game and still be having the best performance on the field.

Once again, HB7 is FEAST or FAMINE.
