That call on the squeeze play was a terrible call. Cost OK a run when regardless he was safe at home. Reminds me of Tre Turner in game 6 of Nats vs Astros.

I’m not looking for Hawthorne, but legible English should be a pre-req for discourse.

It was the 100% correct call. No runner can advance on interference like that.

Dont understand what the runner was supposed to do running down 1st Base line? Stupid Interference rule.

There is a running lane and he was inside the baseline.

Run on the other side of the line, between the 2 white lines. He was clearly outside the running lane.

Do you have a problem with the sidelines in football?

Base running 101 which I remember being taught in middle school. ALL players know the rule but shade inside the baseline to prevent a clean throw & catch from the catcher to first baseman.

The same running lanes hold true on the 3rd baseline.

It’s a terrible rule, but it was a good call.

My first thought too, until I thought about it for a second.

By rule, when interference is called, all runners return to their last occupied base at TOP (Time of Pitch)

It was a great call on a not so great rule and a terrible baserunning error by a freshman. He has to make damn sure he’s in the lane on that play
