He was being paid to coach football, not play golf and drink all day.

BK was acting as though he won a championship at LSU and living high on the hog. He clearly had the cart before the horse.

That’s not his salary that would be his buyout agreement. Nothing says that’s been settled yet.

Right. Which is why he getting his salary right now bc that what he’s entitled to under the contract’s termination clause. He gets paid his full salary until the contract term ends EVEN if he’s terminated.

He may have been “released of his duties as LSUs football coach” but still an lsu employee

Which means he was terminated as head coach and thus entitled to the remainder of his contract terms per the termination section.

ETA: Reports are he’s still being paid his monthly salary, which means he’s not formally terminated. Most formal terminations, even ones that come with a prolonged buyout, include a lump sum up front and then installments that are agreed upon after termination.

What?? He’s still getting his monthly salary bc that what it says he’s entitled to in his contract following termination.

Kelly verbally said he was willing to negotiate his buyout. He then formally went a different route.

You are confused. Negotiating a buyout and firing for cause are two separate things.

re: QB slide rule

Posted by MikeBRLA on 11/9/25 at 12:48 pm to
That is correct. The rule was amended bc QBs were beginning to slide, the defense would back off, then the QB would come out of his slide and continue. A fake slide. So now the QB is now ruled down when the slide begins.

You can change your vote BTW.
It absolutely happens a lot. There are tons of couples that never got legally married so the wife can stay home and get gov benefits bc she’s legally a “single mom”. When in fact her de facto husband works a good job.

They cant decide who drives down a public street

Sure they can. My neighborhood has public streets and we get a permit of some kind every Halloween and pay LEOs to block every entrance to the neighborhood. You must show your DL and prove you live in the neighborhood to get through. It's not really to keep outsiders out, it's a safety issue so that the kids can run around the neighborhood freely and not worry about vehicle traffic.

You can say that again.

As I said many times. We couldn’t afford TO keep him. LSU’s brand is worth well over $50MM and BK was ruining it.
