We should have signed him out of Lawrence County

Nobody, even the recruiting experts predicted how this would turn out.
Hardy was the 153rd ranked RB in HS. He was the 60th best player in the state of MS. Barely a 3-star and his ONLY offer was ULM.

In 2024, Hardy was a true-FR and ULM made it a point to focus on the running game and give him the ball 20 times a game. “IF” Hardy would have been at LSU in 2024, he would have RS and never seen the field.

Looks good brother …. Another simple roll is the spicy tuna or salmon hand roll.

What’s everyone’s favorite Italian in the city? Level of dining doesn’t matter, just some good ole Italian

For those checking this thread and visiting Chicago in the future,
my great aunt lived to be 97 and her favorite Italian restaurant was Cucina Biagio. It was 5 minutes from her house in the Belmont Terrace / Irving Woods suburbs. She celebrated her birthday @ CB every year, and I've eaten there a half dozen times. If in the area, it's worth the dine in.

Every jambalaya I’ve ever witnessed being made started with a roux

Watch this simple video as the key is browning all the meats and cooking down the vegetables. Rice absorbs the flavor as a roux and/or tomatoes (paste, sauce) are not needed. Cooking and seasoning a jambalaya varies from region (River Parishes, Cajun Country, etc.. ) and how your parrain taught you.

so what the heck exactly is a 22 creedmoor and how is it better or worse than 22LR?

Two totally different cartridges (apples vs. oranges) .... 22LR is a rimfire - 22CM is a centerfire, based on the 6.5CM necked down. Wildcat cartridge that was developed 15 yrs ago by long range shooters who had a desire to shoot heavier bullets in the .22 caliber platform. It's now SAAMI & commercially manufactured for the public. Comparison pic with the 22-250 below

Rabbit - IMO, it was OK, but it did not taste like I remembered back in March from the Great Harvest Bread Co. Mine was more dense, heavy. I kinda recall the GH bread being lighter and softer, and more dark beer tasting to my palate. (GH uses Parish Envie and Canebreak beer since they're both local and promote each other). Recipe I followed: 3 cups of Martha White AP flour, 1 Tablespoon of baking powder, and 1 tsp of sea salt that I sifted together. Kitchen Aid mixer with dough hook on low setting, I then slowly added 12 ozs. Guinness stout beer that I left out 24 hours to reduce the carbonation. 3 Tablespoons honey, 2 Tablespoons melted butter. Once dough was done mixing, I gently hand formed it and placed in a lightly butter coated 9x5 bread tin. Poked holes with my finger to insert the cubed smoked gouda throughout. Drizzled butter on top and baked 45-50 minutes. Aroma smelled great when baking. Let sit for 1-2 hours to cool, bread came right out of the tin, no burnt areas.

My first time making bread and it was OK, not spectacular. As a "cook", I'm my worst critic. The finished product looked good as the top was browned and passed the eye test. Maybe the bread was supposed to be dense and heavy. Perhaps I mixed it to long ??? I'm guessing the choice of Martha White AP flour wasn't the best as that's what I had in the pantry. Maybe it was perfect and I was expecting something different ?? Any insight and constructive criticism would be appreciated. Feel like I'm learning to ride a bike with training wheels since I'm a newbie baking bread. Thanks
For a true freshman to avg. 5 ypc behind this OL, I’d say Harlem Berry is the only bright light and has lots of promise for the future. Shame he was used sparingly in the earlier season games and only 1 touch in the 2H vs. A&M. Behind a physical OL that executes blocking assignments, #22 could average >100 ypg.

Thanks for sharing your experience and recommendations in the awesome thread. I’m gonna make a trip from Lafayette next weekend to come support you and buy some bread, butter spread, and hummus. Later today I plan on making a smoked Gouda, Guinness stout beer bread. Great Harvest Bread Company in Lafayette sells it during St. Patrick’s day week as it’s only seasonal. First time baking this bread as GH shared with me their baking suggestions and recipe. Looking forward to meeting you soon
PB has solid groceries and never disappoints. Last time I ordered the St. Martin - flaky buttermilk biscuit with smoked brisket, candied jalapeños, blueberry bbq sauce, I mento cheese, fried egg. Crazy flavors

re: How did Louisiana elect Landry?

Jeff Landry was the lesser of 2 evils. Shawn Wilson was the only Democrat running, he was endorsed by John Bel Edwards, and would have been Obama 2.0.

Wasn’t the 54 based on a Match action and the 17 series rifles were a level below the 54 ???

The 1700 series sporting rifles are built on the Anschutz Model 54 Match Action. Each 1700 series Sporter is engineered and built with the same attention to workmanship, accuracy, and quality as its Olympic target rifle brethren. The 54 action is CNC machined from a solid steel block.

The model 64 action is used in the 1400 and 1500 series rifles. The 54's usually had a better grade of wood, better trigger & bolt assembly, and high lustre metal finish making them 3x's the price. 64's definitely shoot tiny holes with the right ammo.

congrats on a fine shooting rifle. That rifle sells for $2500 NIB today. You owe it to the rifle and yourself to find the best shooting ammo. Call Champions Choice and buy 4-5 boxes of what they recommend in the $8.00 to $15.00 range. SK and Wolf make very good ammo that shoots well in my Sako Finnfire
In recent years, many candy bar recipes have been modified / adjusted by the parent company. Ingredient quality has gone down and chocolate prices have soared. Your basic candy bar is now $3.00 and the size has gotten smaller. Definitely not the same taste and size I remember as a kid or even 10 yrs ago.
Was never a hater, and never really had a problem with DJG as her vocals and harmonies complimented BW's on many songs including Looks Like Rain. At times her voice was easily "recognizable" as I'd usually FF'd to the next song if I had to much. She was part of the Grateful Dead during their peak years .... Europe '72, Wake of the Flood '73, Mars Hotel '74, Blues For Allah '75, Terrapin Station '77, Cornell 5/8/77, Shakedown Street '78, and the Pyramids in Egypt '78. She also sang backup vocals for ELVIS on Suspicious Minds and The Ghetto, and Percy Sledge on When a Man Loves a Woman. RIP sista ... May the four winds blow you safely home.

FYI - Greg's brother John Demarie played FB @ LSU (OL and DL) from 1963-1967 and spend 9 yrs in the NFL. Older Tiger fans may remember John as he prepped at LaGrange
