Don’t know why OP is getting the downvotes. It’s an honest appreciation for a game that is possibly the biggest rivalry in the country GIVEN THE CAVEAT of it rarely meaning anything in terms of national implications.
Texas-OU. Michigan-tOSU. Alabama-Auburn.
These games and others have often had championships on the line. That has rarely been the case here. It’s just state pride.
So, well done, OP, and I agree it’s overdue.

The UT-TAMU rivalry is really only important to these two programs. Us outside of the lone star state do not give a shite.

This game has never had national title implications and has never been important nationally until this weekend thanks to the SEC...Just a lot of yapping and lip flapping about mostly off field bullsht because the on field results never really mattered much....And Fvck the short loins.
