Wait. So the qb fumbled, FL picked it up and another FL player tackled his teammate?

Well, it does sound weird, but then again Florida does have a history of blocking their own players (on at least TWO different occasions in recent years): LINK.

The defensive line was jealous of the o line blocking reach other, and took advantage of an opportunity to look just as shitty.

You disagree I take it.

The proper course of action wasn't recover the ball, get on the ground and let then offense snap the ball to end the game?

That's for sure the proper way to go about closing out a game when ahead with 15 seconds to go.

ETA: These are all Muschamp's recruits. His fault.

Sliding ends the game pointless to score....I understand why he did it. Makes sense. Just need to be careful but the thought was pure

Silly woman, we would have blocked the PAT and won anyway.

He made the right decision. They just needed to kill the clock.

umm of course i disagree.

Should the guy have fell on it, of course. But your own teammate tackling him when he was going to waltz into the endzone created much more of a chance at a fumble. That shite was beyond stupid.

If this is something that you all have seen the first time at the end of a game it shows you all are new to the sport of football and haven't see much football since you were born.

naw. people tell other people to get down and shite all the time. But tackling a guy from behind like that never happens. He's legitimately lucky he didnt cause a fumble there.

Normally yes, but I have seen it plenty of times. Just not a complete tackle. I have seen plenty of half tackles to make the guy go down. A lot of it has been in the NFL.

The player maybe should have slide down because he stood the chance of fumbling if tackled. (I get that) So Gator logic is that it is better for him to be tackled by his own player than an ECU player or that it giving ECU the ball up 14 was dumb? Really????

The guy performing the tackle risked causing a fumble. If I was Mac I would be livid.
