Here is the exact wording of the rule.
ARTICLE 3.
a. Use of Hands. A teammate of a ball carrier or a passer legally may block with
their shoulders, their hands, the outer surface of their arms or any other part
of their body under the following provisions.
1. [b]The hand(s) shall be:
(a) In advance of the elbow.
(b) Inside the frame of the opponent’s body (Exception: When the
opponent turns their back to the blocker) (A.R. 9-3-3-VI and VII).
(c) At or below the shoulder(s) of the blocker and the opponent
(Exception: When the opponent squats, ducks or submarines).
(d) Apart and never in a locked position.
2. The hand(s) shall be open with the palm(s) facing the frame of the
opponent or closed or cupped with the palms not facing the opponent
(A.R. 9-3-3-I-IV and VI-VIII).
b. Holding. The hand(s) and arm(s) shall not be used to grasp, pull, hook, clamp
or encircle in any way that illegally impedes or illegally obstructs an opponent.

You are wrong period. It was in fact by rule holding and Bama received an actual 7 points from a non call, end of story.

That guy didn't land entirely on the defender out of bounds. His elbow hit in bounds

What you are missing are the indicators and things officials look for as part of their training to identify things like that.

As I said previously, the biggest part you are leaving out is the positioning and the feet of the lineman driving into the defender.

Here are the 4 major indicators they look for.

1. The feet stop moving. That means they are anchored down.

2. Jersey being pulled on

3. The defenders body being turned.

4. Loss of balance by the defender.

None of those indicators are indicating.

They are indicators, because that's what happens when players do things defined in the rules.

Oh that's a tough one, but I think they made the right call to be honest.

It looks like the part of the elbow hitting was part of the initial fall and not a bounce or secondary action. If he lands and then kind of rolls or bounces in bounds, then it's incomplete. But that really looked like his elbow came down as part of his initial fall so he kind of landed both on the player and in bounds.

I also would have understood if they called it incomplete, but overall I think they did the right call.

The irony in this statement is world class…I hope you can see that.

*edited to include quote.

Decade after decade the obnoxious cheating for Alabama helped them win many a game throughout the SEC and yes especially against LSU. Time and time again; over and over. I don’t feel bad for Alabama and we owe you many years of payback.

As I posted in another thread....

It will take 4,679 more blown calls against the Turds to get to even.

Yes, including the quote out of context is a sure way to make a point. You, like many other UGA fans need to let it all go. It is now Wednesday. Sorry you continue to feel abashed.

Yet the bama fans who keep running into every thread to complain about the call. After all the evidence of bad calls in favor of bama you want to say those didn't happen or were inconsequential every single bama fan will argue if someone brings up a past call that went bama's way.

Get over yourselves y'all aren't as special as you think you are.

Don't worry.

I promise you that Bama will continue with a 5 year recurring battle cry about a missed pass interference call.

"Metchie/Williams" is your evidence.
