I've said multiple times if you just want to point to the scoreboard, then Congrats to Georgia because they won. That is all that matters at the end of the day, and nothing anyone can or will say will change that. Take that and be happy if that's all you want.

If you want to talk about team strength and debate penalties, then I'm down for it and these things have meaning in them.

What sucks is stupid people like you who can't separate the 2.

Correct, at the end of the day, the record books will show a Georgia victory and a Bama loss in this game. So GET OVER IT!!!

What I WANT is for Bama fans to stop complaining about the refs like it’s only legitimate when they get a raw deal. Welcome back to reality. You are not special.

Your inability to take the loss and move on is what is forcing others to have to explain to you that you are doing the EXACT SAME THING you despise others of doing. But now that the shoe is on the other foot, you don’t like the feel of it.

i guess you missed the Kentucky catch where the receiver caught the ball while landing on an lsu defender that was out of bounds and was ruled a catch

I didn't watch the game, so yeah. Do you have a replay?

Did the receiver get a foot in?

Did the LSU defender touch the ball?

What I want is for UGa fans to accept that they had a bad no call go in their favor at a crucial moment and quit pretending that every missed call is exactly the same just because they feel a little let down that people aren’t giving them flowers over the win due to the questionable refereeing. They could also stop making threads and whining like little babies when people respond to them. They could just enjoy the win. Or they could, like you, keep being little flamers.

Like I said......An offensive linemen is prohibited from using their hands or arms to hook, clamp, encircle or pull a defender. You are talking about the positioning on his feet and literally in the still shot he showed you can see his legs are behind the Georgia player. So while it appears his upper torso is to the side of him the Georgia player is past him and he has him hooked with his arm. Now read what the olineman is prohibited from doing.

You just want Alabama fans to acknowledge you and you are upset you aren't getting it. We are more worried about our own team and what went right/wrong and how that applies to the team going forward.

This game doesn't even feel like a loss really. It has no affect a loss should have due to the crappy playoff formula. And overall I think Alabama can beat any team in the country now - I was unsure prior to the game. It took many bad/unfortunate events happening to come up with just a 3 point loss on the game, and it's a team that is young and will get better over the season.

Advanced stats shared this opinion. Alabama increased in the power ratings as a result of this game.

In addition to that, I will rarely if ever pass up a discussion on the rules and what is a penalty and what isn't. And that's what the bulk of my comments in this thread have actually been about.

Positioning matters because it's not a hook unless you are behind them(or they are trying to get away in the opposite direction, which doesn't apply here). If you are in front of them, the chest is valid. As your other fan pointed out "inside the armpits".

The feet matter because it shows the offensive lineman is relying on leverage and power instead of holding. That's really the biggest factor here that you all ignore.

The single frame shot is when the offensive lineman is releasing, which happens as the ball is being thrown. That's why you need to watch the entire play. Using single frame pictures to claim holding is lame bullshite.

Bama got calls for years and you know it.30 something quarter or games yall get no holding calls, that’s blatant cheating coming from Birmingham.Every program in the SEC has had to deal with this and it shows ALA and its fans are dishonest and corrupt.

I think a lot of yall are missing the point that the game was poorly officiated throughout for BOTH UGA and Bama, and I’m serious when I say UGA could easily have lost from just 1 bad call and I do think they played better vs. Bama throughout. Which is amazing that they only won 20-17 considering both these teams have had offenses producing over 40+ points a game and it wasn’t like that at all.

I've heard this same excuse every time Alabama gets screwed by a call for years.

The actual difference is in the past we often times were still able to over come the bad calls. And that's what we have to do this year as well. That's football and that's what is meant when they say "You can't let the refs decide".

Clemson won a national championship while running 99 plays against the best front 7 in arguable college football history(especially when counting the 2 deep) without a single holding call, and then managed to punch it in at the end for the winning score on a pick play.

But Alabama deserved it right?

We had other opportunities. Those calls didn't prevent us from winning, but it sure made it a lot harder.

100% this.

Listen, if after that play Keelon had thrown a TD pass and not gotten sacked, this discourse wouldn’t be happening, we all know that. There would probably be some discourse about the refs screwing UGA (cause they also missed stuff for them as well). And some of it would be valid but again, we can’t keep blaming refs for games we still could have won in spite of whatever bad call or no call was peppered in the game.

Keelon also has to learn how to play big games and he’s not there yet. UGA was the better team because they were able to keep composure and are arguably the better team. Does it sting knowing Bama hung in as long as they did, sure, but we gotta get over it and move on. We lost, but we still control our destiny.

That it was almost two decades ago and that it's the only thing an Auburn fan and many LSU fans have to cling to after Bama has been your Daddy for so many years...candy arse...that's how I see it and feel about it.

You asked...

wr went up for the pass and was hit (dumbass db should have wrapped him up and carried him out of bounds but just used his shoulder like most do now a days) the db fell while the wr was still in the air and landed on the db that was out of bounds...the wr's elbow landed in bounds after landing on the db.

You have completely missed the point of this thread. Bama is not special. Refs miss calls. You hate it when it happens to you. Good luck the rest of the season.

Sounds like it should have been an incomplete pass. If he landed on an out of bounds player before anything landed in bounds, that is an incomplete pass.

I don’t give a damn what Alabama fans think about the Dawgs. You can try to delude yourself into think it doesn’t feel like a loss, but I assure you the history books have an accurate record. UGA is undefeated, Bama can’t say that.

The whole point in my entering into this discussion was to demonstrate a disconnect in how bad calls are perceived by bama fans. Most everyone, including Bolden, admit that they thought it should have been a penalty. The WHOLE point is that Bama fans only agree it’s a bad call if it goes AGAINST their team, and thus blame the refs. Something about pots and kettles…

according to the official on the broadcast that doesn't matter. he said it right away also. i thought for sure it was incomplete for that exact reason. Seems like a few years ago there was a fumble recovery near the sideline in LSU/Bama game and they called it opposite

You didn’t start this thread, big guy. Its point was obviously a troll by an Aub. It’s not all about you.
UGA fans won’t let it go and have been making threads and keeping this mess going since Saturday. You as a UGA fan contributed to that. You made what you thought was a zinger of a point by saying “Bama isn’t special.” You stated what you wanted (in all caps even!). Then I responded with what I wanted, which is for UGa fans to move on. Then you made your zinger of a point again. It must’ve sounded twice as clever the second time in your mind. You missed the point of my response.

Well you can touch a player that has been/is out of bounds and it doesn't count immediately. So it must be that being applied.

But I'm under the impression if you land on them, then that's another story. It must not have been seen as the elbow being a secondary act or something.

And if the DB touched the ball at all, then that is for sure the ball is out of bounds.

What quarter did it happen in? I want to go check it out.
