Oh I'd definitely say.

The guy ended up winning the conference again a few years after that.

That is what I'd consider a good three year stretch: multiple division titles, a conference title, multiple major bowl wins.

Here's the crazy part: fans of that school don't even consider him a good coach.

Les Miles’ first three seasons were the high water mark of LSU football.

No LSU fan here will ever see anything like that again in their lifetime.

The Bama Decline has bama fans sleep walking dreaming that Daddy LSU will
somehow get down to their level of irrelevance. you never hear any word about the future. It’s all about the past unless they’re discussing another team. LMFAO

Crazy that any of these would have been the best teams in the history of Missouri Football and LSU had it 3 years in a row.

Les Miles was an excellent coach who refused to adapt to the times in college football. You can't run a prehistoric offense with the rule changes. He had a great run, but his time at LSU ended at the right time, maybe a year or two too late.

The fact that he could only find another job at shitty Kansas is telling as to what the rest of the country thought of his coaching ability at that point.
