Props to Malzahn. Not many college coaches will cut a star player unless he's in jail, and some won't even then. I hope Kirby has that kind of discipline when the time comes.

May not have had a choice. Very likely it could have been grades-related; usually if a guy is dismissed like this on the first day of camp it's because they fricked over a coach or teammate or didn't stay eligible

We have Kerryon Johnson who we think is really good, but he is a true Soph and has been banged up some. We have two true freshmen RB, one who transfered from Baylor and can fly. We also ran our two fullbacks all spring and like them a lot, but they don't have the Pop we would like... More like Barber last year.

We have a grand total of 1 guy with a college carry

We need them to stay healthy. I could also see Rudy Ford getting 5-10 carries a game

Good lord almighty.
Please lets not act like Malzahn is some sort of ambassador of moral integrity. This is the man that recruited Michael Dyer by showing up in limosines to high school football games and ended up coaching the dude at two different schools despite felony drug and weapons charges.

Auburn fans are delusional if they think this had anything to do with Malzahn's "integrity". He has none.

That's him. Can we borrow him? I think he is a 8th year senior so we could use his leadership

No way, bruh. We always seem to have to count on him for meaningful snaps at some point in the season.

More carries for Kameron Martin won't be the worst thing in the world. Problem is, I think he and Kerryon are both great change of pace backs, and you need that every down guy which Robinson looked to be.

Really crazy for AU to have a ? at RB to start a season.

There is no question. We do not have a every down back left on the team. We could not afford to lose Robinson

Dismissed over a fractured penis?

That sucks.

If this is true (I haven't followed Auburn this offseason because I hate them), then it doesn't make much sense that Malzahn would have kicked this guy out for missing a practice.

People aren't being told the entire story here.
Maybe the kid said, "fu(k you, coach", and when he didn't show up Malzahn said he was dismissed?

Either way, I'm sure we will hear more soon enough.
