There are 6 schools you can put ahead of Texas historically maybe 7 if you include Nebraska if you are being honest with yourself but this is the tRant and we know y'all can't do that lol.

USC and Miami have no business on this list. Ohio State should be number 2.

Last 50 years, how many football natties?

Maybe.
Sadly for Texas half of those programs are in the SEC (Alabama, Georgia, LSU). One could make some arguments for Tennessee and Auburn as well.

And not a damn one of'em has won it since Texas joined the SEC, so it seems the rest of you are the ones that are fricked

Does playing for a national championship 16 years ago count as sniffing a championship in 20 years? Dumbass lol

Being hated cause you are elite team winning multiple titles a decade would be fun no doubt.
Being hated because you think you are an elite program makes people just laugh at you. Texas since the 80s when most of this board understood football has been a joke

Texas is a joke compared to schools winning since pads came out.
One title since 1970. You can’t act like a top 10 school and that’s your history

So if anything. Texas is Auburn lite

He did say that most of the hate for LSU is more directed at LK.

LSU easily tops the list currently.

This one’s from 2011 by BR. Their poll is a bit different. Top 25 teams most rooted against. ND, USC and UF are top 3. USC’s already has Lane Kiffin as a reason. Neither LSU or Bama even made the top 25. This was written in June though. Before that date we don’t speak of.

Texas wishes they had 9 Nattys

Alabama needs to be no. 1, yeah Notre Dame still has that independent entitlement they have but let’s be real: they haven’t won the natty since 1993 (intentional, they deserved it over the team THEY BEAT AS HEAVY HOME UNDERDOGS FLORIDA STATE) so they don’t have ground on which to stand so no one takes them seriously to actually hate them

LSU’s the SEC’s Miami or Florida State to Alabama’s Notre Dame in terms of how they present themselves, LSU does it on full attitude, swagger, and an uncommon playfulness that attracts the casual football fan and with which people can identify; Alabama obviously has an aura like LSU but the contrast is it’s as Saban put it, “joyless murderball”: bland like Alabama’s food, devoid of personality, machine-esque, almost like the Soviets in Olympic sports, methodical, at least that’s what it was during Saban’s time, DeBoer can’t run the ball and the team has gotten soft so who knows?
Posted on 3/3/26 at 11:45 pm to tBrand
And y’all haven’t won one in over two decades!

Rich coming from you, sometimes, the jokes write themselves. Auburn won in 2010/11, and played for a title in 2013/14. Texas has not played for a title since 2005/6, literally 20 years ago. Thanks for playing, Einstein.
