“The way the AJC presented the Jamaal Jarrett/UGA story is an embarrassment & people with the loudest takes in many cases didn't even read the article”
quote:
“People took away exactly what the folks who wrote that article wanted people to take away. And that was a headline, a screenshot, a snippet, but really just an idea, more so than facts.”
quote:
“I find myself reading that entire police report, and I find myself reading transcripts from the accuser, transcripts from Jamaal Jarrett, and I find myself looking a text message exchanges, and then I get to the end of it, and I watch the entire story and allegations just vaporize.”
quote:
“And I ask myself, how many people actually dug this deep, including the people who wrote this article in the AJC. And if they did dig this deep, why wasn’t I presented with this context in the article?”
quote:
“The guys over at DawgsHQ didn’t editorialize. They just put the facts out there. That’s actually investigative journalism.”

I know it sounds convenient for UGA fans, but the AJC has no shred of objectivity or credibility in its reporting on UGA football. It very transparently is trying to generate as negative of publicity as possible to generate readership.
UGA definitely has a driving issue that needs to be corrected, but basing such a sensationalist sexual assault culture story on the Jarrett and Anderson cases was wildly speculative at best.

The idiots that hoped this would hurt the UGA program needs to realize this will have an opposite effect than what they intended. Sometimes its hard to get a team like uga, a NC program, that's already on top to rally and get an angry (us against the world) attitude. This sorta thing will rally the players and bring them to together with a chip on their shoulder. That's all a 2 x NC winner needs to be REALLY dangerous...a chip on their shoulder.

It isn't just Georgia football. There isn't "a shred of objectivity or credibility" in every major newspaper in this country - EXCEPT, in part, WSJ

AJC just wants kids to go back to abstinence. That’s all.

1- Josh Pate is a breath of fresh air in general amidst the hot take blowhards. Nuance and critical thinking need to make a come back in the industry
2- I hope the Jarrets sue the shite out of the AJC. would be a shame if this is the story that bankrupts them. A real shame.

Sickening thread.
Georgia fans can’t handle the truth
I’m praying for all of you.

The fact that Josh Pate wears nothing but white T-shirts is an embarrassment...

Let’s be honest here. You’d have the same reaction if this guy’s story was iron clad or not. Nothing is going to stop you from wearing your red PFG, being fat, and barking at people this fall.

As if journalists even know what shame is. I know Georgia is new to the spotlight, but anything you do while you are on top is fodder for them to make money under the protection of the 1st amendment.
And when I say spotlight, I mean a really super bright spotlight that you get after winning back to back natties. That one is going to be bright as hell.

BK is 0-3 against Kirby.
