I'm going Manziel, particularly if my team doesn't have elite talent. Can't really argue against a guy who had 5000 total yards in a season.

I think Tua is amazing but for college football I'll usually take the guy who can be a dynamic runner and thrower vs a guy who is just a dynamic thrower. And dont give me any shite about Mike Evans lmao Tua has just as good if not a better supporting cast than Johnny. Johnny also played in a much for competitive SEC.

If I'm making a pro team give me Tua, but for a college team I want Johnny

Johnny Football. We don’t know what Tua would look like playing on a team that’s not full of all-stars on the two deep depth chart. A lot of QB’s would look good playing behind Bama’s offensive line which seems to be allowed to hold more than any offensive line in league.

Tua, but he has one luxury Johnny never had: all day to throw

People forget how good Manziel the football player was. He was an animal

Only Kyler Murray reminds me of him on how quick and fast they are.

This thread is stupid, but this isn’t even close to true.

tua Hasn’t and will never be asked to take over a game and carry his team on his back like Johnny and Cam did so many times.

Easily the dumbest post in this thread.

He hasn’t. Tua gets to get longer than most to sit in the pocket, wait for his superior receivers to get open, & deliver a strike. He rarely rushed. He can always rely on a run game to keep the defense honest. And he doesn’t have to go out and score 50 on occasion because his defense can’t get a stop. Saban built a machine. It’s not Tua’s fault he’s in the perfect position.

Tua's little brother is a lot like J Football in the way he plays. In the way he acts, not so much.

Manziel was a great player but his style just isn't sound or reliable in terms of championship football.

Tua is the best pure passer the SEC has seen for a long time. He doesn't have that strength or athleticism that Tebow or Newton did, but he's light years beyond them in terms of passing ability.

I can't help what YOU remember, but his sophomore year he completed 67% of his passes, and was mostly operating from the pocket.

He was an incredibly accurate and efficient passer his second year, and he certainly wasn't operating with the advantages tua has.

Tua has better WR and a much better defense. JFF HAD to take chances, because the other team was getting points almost no matter what.

Anyone who discredits anything Johnny did, just didn't like the kid.

It's Tua. I admit most of what I've seen of Manziel was against LSU and he just didn't get it done. Tua is a much better leader, doesn't appear to be nearly as self-absorbed as Manziel and will do much better in the NFL.

JFF sucked against LSU because LSU did a good job of keeping contain, and held his wr all game both years.

LSU has always played with the mindset that you can't call PI or defensive holding on every play, so they just do it constantly and dare you to call it.

Johnny easily over Tua. But I’d take Kyler over both. He’s far more efficient.

It really isn't

Don't get me wrong, Manziel was way, way more entertaining as a third party observer, but it's Tua all day and every single program except A&M would say so
