It is almost like, Johnny is unstable or perhaps prone to making rash comments and decisions.

Who would have guessed?

So the hubris to accomplishment ratio is really attributed to aggy posters only.

The Dunning-Kruger effect could easily be attributed to many fans and program in this conference including us. Can’t deny that.

When it comes to life though, the overestimation of ability and lack of competence fully incapsulates the average person from Louisiana and Alabama. Glad you have your football team otherwise things would be really brutal for y’all.

Not offering Manziel is just poor talent evaluation by the horns.

As many have said, Texas made it very clear to Manziel that they would only consider him as a DB. What no one is discussing here is why.

Johnny was an electric high school football player. He was also a very bad person in high school. Things were swept under the rug by his family that were truly terrible. Texas didn't want to roll the dice on Johnny and gave him the DB brush-off.

Longhorn Football isn't some pinnacle of virtue. They are willing to look the other way on a lot. What Johnny did in high school was really, really bad.

I do know Mack offered him as a safety. But I read Mack said he didn’t offer.

The DB brush-off, huh. I hadn’t heard that one yet. Who came up with that, Ketchum? Could be revisionist history bc Texas could’ve just not offered at all if they had flagged his behavior.

Agreed that Texas isn’t some pinnacle of virtue and has a long history of covering for bad apples. So I’m skeptical of virtue signaling on Manziel now…

The kids in high school probably don't even know who Manziel is. These kids were like 4 or 5 when he was good

I thought it's pretty well known that Texas didn't recruit JM to play QB, but recruited him as an ATH so they broke ties pretty early on?

ETA: nvm, I didn't catch who OP was.

Lol here we go with this shite again. I thought this trope was dead when he flamed out in the NFL and disappeared. But glad this documentary can momentarily revive it
