Damn, that's terrible news. I'm glad he has the most curable form but man I hate cancer. Roll Tide John and I hope you have a speedy recovery.

Good Lord. I know it happens, but it's still a shock when these kids at their physical peak get hit with something like this. Hope he whips it and can continue his dream.

Being he is at his physical peak, this will help him tremendously in his recovery unlike the average person.

Best wishes to Metchie. At least it is treatable, hopefully they knock it out quickly so he can have a healthy life.

This experimental drug could change the field of cancer research

quote:

A tiny group of people with rectal cancer just experienced something of a scientific miracle: their cancer simply vanished after an experimental treatment.

In a very small trial done by doctors at New York's Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, patients took a drug called dostarlimab for six months. The trial resulted in every single one of their tumors disappearing. The trial group included just 18 people, and there's still more to be learned about how the treatment worked. But some scientists say these kinds of results have never been seen in the history of cancer research.

100% success rate with 0 side effects in human trials with like 18 people. Not sure if it works on other cancers, but still extremely promising.

Damn that is tuff. Dude is a beast and one of the hardest working WRs we’ve ever had. He will recover and be out there making plays before long.

He is a hard worker ad one of my favorite players.

The cynic in me says it’s because there’s not near as much money to be made in the cancer curing business as there is in the cancer treating business.

We went to space 60 years ago, and we’re still using technology to treat cancer that pre-dates the space race. Wild.

We should invest all of our surplusses into medical research.

That’s my thinking as well. Along with the fact that so many of the world’s elites talk about overpopulation as being the number one issue. Saving peoples’ lives doesn’t coincide with what they deem is the most important issue.

My cousin was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive cancer, started chemo and taking turkey tail mushrooms… cancer free.

Prayers for the young man. I think he is great player and seems like a good dude. Can't imagine rehabbing an ACL and finding our that's not even the toughest medical battle you have.
