John Chavis vs Lane Kiffin

We're talking about coordinators here, moron.

The Lance Thompson era of Alabama defense has been really impressive.

But what is even more impressive is how Alabama under special teams coach Bobby Williams has been the preeminent college football program in the last several years.

You do have to give Chavis credit though. No other DC at a major program has a cluster frick of a defense named after him. Pretty impressie accomplishment. I can't ever remember hearing anyone utter the words "Third and Kirby".

Apparently you don't realize that LSU leads the SEC in 3rd down defense and is ranked 7th nationally.

Alabama is 7th in the SEC and 31st nationally.

Bama's defense will have to win the game which may not be that hard against LSU's O but I don't expect more than 10 points to be scored

Trolling?

Bama will probably win something like 28-10.

True, but we will still get our yards running the ball. If TN can do it, so can we. La'El Collins is playing out of his mind right now along with the rest of our Oline.

We are a tough match up for Bama as well...we are the top in the SEC stopping the pass, just like Bama is at the top stopping the run. Also, I see Bama having trouble running the ball with Cam Rob out. Cooper will have his yards as usual, but our Secondary/Dline are breaking up passes left and right lately, and with Sims height I don't see that stopping on 11/8 either. Should be a good one as usual

Y'all did only score 10 offensive points but shut down isn't accurate.

I do not think that means what you think it does.

If Bama gets away from the run, then they could get in trouble.

He's been all-time great at home. He has been fine on the road outside of Arkansas. He was mediocre against Ole Miss, but he certainly wasn't terrible. He was very good at Tennessee.

Road Stats - 44/76 (57.9%), 675 yards, 4 TD/1 INT, 147.2 rating

WVU (N) - 24/33, 250 yards, 0 TD/1 INT, 42 rush
@ Ole Miss - 19/31, 228 yards, 0 TD/1 INT, 8 rush yards
@ Arkansas - 11/21, 161 yards, 2 TD/0 INT, 5 rush yards
@ Tennessee - 14/24, 286 yards, 2 TD/0 INT, 42 rush yards

I've said that plenty of times in the last season. Our ability to give up third & longs on defense in amazing.

Didn't convert scoring opportunities for sure. Also had a lot of drives stall at the 35-40 yard line.

Yep -he has been mediocre away from home, but certainly not bad. And last weekend @ Tennessee was by far his best non-home performance against a pretty decent defense.

So we will see.

LSU left a lot of points on the field. I think anyone objective could see that. credit to ole miss for being agressive though. LSU dropped at least 3 picks and that's being fair. it should have been 5.

Ole Miss dropped a sure pick 6 though.

Was actually discussing Bama-OM, but the same could clearly apply to OM-LSU.

The red zone defense of ole miss is good and kept them in the game like they have all year. Bama finally have them TOs to capitalize on and that's the difference.
