He's growing on me. He disagrees that Bama should be in, obviously, because he's Joel Klatt.

But he said that arguing betweeen USC/Alabama/Ohio State is arguing between three bad resumes, and if we expand the playoff to 8 teams we're just going to invite more comparisons of even worse resumes from a higher multitude of teams. It will become impossible to determine which 2 or three loss team is the best, which Group of 5 school is deserving or not.

Ultimately his final argument was that if you're arguing about which resumes are better from a group of bad resumes, you don't deserve to be the national champion.

So you are saying that the law of averages will exact its revenge and Bama will be a one and done this year? If this is how Klatt sees it, I’m all for it.

He's a boob. I really didn't know much about him before that game the other night. If he is what Fox is offering, I will pass. They should stick to the NFL.

On an unrelated note, seeing Joey Galloway have to sit on set and hold back his emotions was great television. Would’ve only been better if Kannel and Rob Smith were there too. Credit to Joey, he hasn’t gone on a twitter rant yet about how Ohio State deserves to be there and I know he’s dying to. Rob Smith was calling the B1G championship a “play in game” during the broadcast

Wish I could’ve seen that smug a-hole when they announced Alabama at 4

Maybe, but if we win it you can be damn sure we'll claim it and rub your nose in it.

So, his argument is meaningless.

Except Alabama resume wasn't terrible or even bad. They were the #1 or #2 team for 11 weeks scheduled a top 3 team OOC and won 11 games. Their 1 loss was to the hottest teams on the road in a rivalry game. That loss was not enough to eliminate them.

Kanell was pretty pissed off on Twitter yesterday that Georgia got in.

The problem is that there's almost never four teams deserving of playing for a national championship. There are exceptions to the rule like 2014 and maybe 2008 but usually controversies involved three teams. Nobody was arguing for Utah to make the national championship game over OU and USC. It was just Auburn. In 2003, it was USC, LSU and Oklahoma. In 2011, it was Alabama, LSU and Oklahoma State. There was never a fourth team in the argument.

This sure as hell doesn't make a good resume.

Auburn should have been the 4 seed over Bama, USC or Ohio State. At least they were the one team that proven they could beat an elite team. The others were comparing who's lose was least embarrassing. Bama only got beat by 2 TDs instead of 4...they get it. What a joke.

Obviously it was. They could have easily been left out, and would have had nothing to complain about.
