I also remember when people made comments like that about Dan Marino and they were right. The AFC is LOADED. There is no guarantee Burrow will be back. They desperately need o-line help.

Joe Burrow did NOT lose that game. Piss poor play calling and and offensive line that might as well be cardboard cutouts lost the game

You understand that the Rams DL makes EVERY NFL team play poorly at some point during a game. They are more talented than 100% of the lines they will face.

Actually, the Bengals got everything they needed - great line play early, a scoring trick play, a score on an obvious PI, a turnover, and some great D for most of the game.

They just couldn’t put enough points up early on to capitalize when they needed to. Joe had a decent game but man, he checked down a lot, this the reason he has so many completions with very little yards outside of the two long ones (with one that should have been called back). He also missed a couple of reads too - like the first quarter when he had a wide open guy to the outside and tried to force one in the middle on a 3rd down (and it got knocked down).

I’ve seen him play alot better. It definitely was not his best game.

I agree. First time I've ever seen him even a little flustered. He didn't play poorly but not his best either. The Rams dline had him running and the coverage had him guessing.

I love all of this poor Joe Burrow talk. Dude has 3 #1 receivers, a pro-bowl runningback, and a defense that gave up 19, 16, 24, and 23 points in the Playoffs

Oline gave up like 19 sacks between two games; 19 sacks in TWO GAMES, stop an think about that. Joe Burrow was sacked like 8 or 9 times last night in a quarter and half. He still generated enough offense to be in the lead to the very end. Finished with 263 yards and a TD in his first Super Bowl against zero interceptions or fumbles as much as he was hit. Dude is a stud.

Everyone's is checking their intelligence at the door for the sake of trying to troll LSU fans, that for the most part are not really that upset.

Two or more? It's hard to win a playoff game. It's really hard to win an NFC or AFC title game. It's EXTREMELY hard to win a Super Bowl. There's no guarantee he'll ever play in one again. So, just throwing out "two or more" so casually is ridiculous.

I agree the Bengals have some serious weapons but there’s also not many QB’s in the league that could’ve gotten to the Super Bowl playing behind that Oline.

19 sacks given up in the playoffs alone. I have no clue how they made it.

I mean yea I think he's a top-10 QB already. But the Bengals are a really good team with 1 glaring issue. They should mirror the Rams and go into win now mode regarding the O-Line. They've got cap space, talent, momentum to attract free agents

The only thing stopping them is that the AFC is stupidly loaded with young talented QBs

If the Bengals don’t win one in the next two years, the odds are he won’t. That’s a poverty franchise that has no history of sustainable success. Once all those weapons need to get paid, they’ll be back to normal.

It depends if the Bengals can retain that defense through the next couple years, especially after the Bengals have to actually pay Joe Burrow. The Bengals defense did enough in this post season to win a SuperBowl. It was the offense that struggled. Bengals had a SuperBowl caliber defense, Who knew

No, you got to be honest about this, he made terrible decisions at the key moments

But they were true NFL rookie mistakes,

I disagree with this take.. as stated previously, Bengals lost because their Oline is sub par NFL quality and the receivers dropped passes on key down and distance plays..

Maybe...

After the Super Bowl in January 1985, if you had asked me how many more Super Bowls I thought Dan Marino would be in over the next 14 seasons, I would have said at least 2 more...probably 3. I thought Phil Simms would have been in more than 1 as well. I'm not talking about how many more they would win...I'm just talking about how many more they would even play in.

Heck...after the run he had in 75-77, I though Bert Jones would at least play in one.

In a sport like football, so much is dependent upon the talent around you, and injury.

Agree on the defense and especially on Mixon. He might be the best all-purpose back in the league.

On the WR's, maybe I misunderstood what you were trying to say, but Higgins is a solid second receiver at best. I have no idea who else on that team would qualify as a decent second receiver, much less be in the discussion as a #1.

Bottom line, I thought Burrow played an average game last night. He missed some opportunity's early on when he had some time to throw the ball, but that line gave him no chance to do anything after the half.
