Nuss will have options to stretch the field this season In Hilton And Nick Anderson. LSU didn’t have a WR that could take the top off the defense for the majority of the season. You saw In two Games the difference Hilton can be. Lacy was never a WR1

Nuss had a better “1st year starter” year then both of these two Heisman Trophy winners and that’s why his expectations are so high if he continues to improve, he will be in New York for the Heisman Trophy
Garret had 3 seasons on campus and 2 under Kelly before starting in 2024.
Daniels transferred March 2022 so he had only a Spring and Fall practice to get up to speed while Kelly and the entire team was installing the offense. Not an extra 2 years in the system like Nuss got. He also was good enough to beat out his competitors and start the previous 3 years as ASU.
Burrow came in May of 2018 so he only had a FALL practice before getting the nod as starter. He just needed 25 practices compared to more than 100 Nuss had before starting.
Nuss was passed over for 3 years before getting the job by default. You have to be miserable if you can't beat out a true freshman and 3 star transfer.

Oh, and to address your original point, LSU already had Joe Burrow 2.0 in Jayden Daniels - in fact, he was even better than Burrow was - and your stellar head coach managed to not even win his own division with him, while also managing to get blown the frick out by Jalen Milroe. Yikes!

Nuss played lighter schedules than them. And Nuss was worse in big games
Nuss is a top 10 QB next year, I struggle to see him finishing top 5, he is who he is. Hopefully the rest of the team is good enough where top 10 is good enough and not needing Heisman level play.

Stop dude. Nuss won't ever be in Burrow's zip code. Burrow was "that guy". Other teams' fans respected how great he was. Nuss ain't him.
