Question was a week ago how these two got into the playoffs. How the hades did Texas Tech get here?

Tech would destroy both. Texas and Notre Dame would as well..

Iowa beat a 10 win SEC team, probably best 9 win team (forgot Texas is at 10 now)
USC was Notre Dames only good win

JMU put up a decent struggle against Oregon, they didn't have the firepower to keep up.
Sadly that will probably cripple the program for a couple of years because every rich program in the country is using JMU as their private little fishing pond as they loot the program of players.
Tulane made it through a very down AAC and weren't up to the task at hand.

Texas tech is in the big 12 and played a schedule full of p4 opponents. Also the big 12 champion is an automatic qualifier. Jmu and Tulane would win some games but wouldn't be much over .500 if even that good in the big 12. That conference isn't crazy loaded but utah, byu and Arizona state isn't an easy day for anyone. People love to remember tcu getting massacred against uga in the championship, and they did, but only after beating Michigan to get there.

Tech has good defense but they will wear out in the third quarter. Offense is as bad as Southern Mississippi

Are you not watching what the TT defense is doing? Bastards are fast!
The Tech Offense has a serious case of the jitters. But that’s a legitimate playoff team.

Their only good win. By two points.
Acting like Oregon was a slam dunk is absurd. Definitely questionable as to why they got a five seed.

They won the big 12. They won the big 12 because they are pouring insane amounts of money into football.

Tech hasn’t proved anything yet.

Texas Tech went 12-1 and dominated a P4 conference
They are starting slow just like every single other team that’s had one of these byes in the playoffs
Oregon was number 1 last year and was down 34-8 at halftime. Starting to look like these byes are a hinderance more than an advantage

Tech can’t even get a first down. Once the defense wears out Katie by the door.

Oregon didn't shut out JMU at half time.
