Also, how does the 1 OOD work when you play that pod...does the OOD change to another team?

It's merely my view on how to structure the divisions (based on everyone's geography, rivalry games, etc.). The OOD rivalry is a permanent game to account for the teams that have rivalry games outside of their divisions. (You would have three games in your division, an OOD, rivalry game that's protected each year, and four or more games that rotate around the conference.) In addition, it keeps the 8-game schedule that everyone favors, but if you wanted, you could always add a 9th or 10th game to the OOD games or the rotational games, too.

P.S. Texas and Texas A&M are split to give A&M the separate "identity" that they want, and Alabama and Auburn are split to take into account the geography, rivalries, identity, etc. (Bama would lose the annual game with MSU, but it's whatever.)

P.P.S. Like I said earlier, they've already announced that the current plan is to eliminate the divisions while keeping three rivals and either 8-10 conference games.

That sucks. I like the Arkansas series. It's become a fun little rivalry. Arkansas fans are good people.

Auburn and Tennessee are the only teams Bama has won less than 65% against.

AL’s winning % against UGA is like 58%

Apologies for being a stat nerd.

If we get stuck playing MIZZ, OU, and Texas every year I will be pissed.

We have only played OU & MIZZOU a handful of times. We didn’t move to the SEC 30 years ago to be stuck playing ZERO of our SEC rivals on an annual basis. Give me divisions if it is going to be like this.

This would be a total failure when we have history and a desire to play A&M, Ole Miss, & LSU, along with Texas.

LSU is too busy circle jerking with A&M’s lame arse to be smart enough to bring the boot back to thanksgiving weekend.

Don't know if you noticed, but doesn't Al. pretty much win that group almost yearly?

They get to keep the UT game, and Auburn gets to go back to the east (for the Florida and Georgia games). Honestly, there's not a lot of ways that you can stack four divisions while preserving most of the rivalry games, and unless they were to add semi-final games to play into the SEC Championship, it's not like you winning the division means much.

Agreed. I was really hoping for us to get Texas, LSU and Ole Miss. That would have been absolutely perfect, in my opinion.

Would be my choices too. Or just have divisions with a 9 game schedule.

WHY does the SEC need a playoff to get a champ...who goes into a playoff?

Pair up 2 pods each year & best team of each 8-school group is an SEC contestant.

Ms State, LSU, and Arkansas would be what I would hope for for Ole Miss. The first two are easily explained but that Arkansas game since 2008ish (well earlier with the 7 OT game) has turned into a very solid rivalry.

Just laughing at all of the Bama folks begging for Mississippi State. Never has that been talked about as any kind of rivalry or game to look forward to

Texas and OU annually would be great.

Mizzou is meh, but everybody already knows that.

It would be weird to not play LSU and Ole Miss every year. But with 3 permanents, everybody will be in a similar situation.

I hate this shite. 12-team SEC was best SEC.

That said, I agree with Coach Fisher.

Would love to share spirits with any of y’all.

Let’s kick it.

Absolutely nothing would make me happier than playing Arkansas every year. As an old Texas guy, Arkansas is our #1 rival, and Old SOB Hog fan would say the same. To not feed the hate on both sides has been a serious loss of our culture to younger Horns and Hogs. FU Arkansas! But it’s nice to be back in the mix with you.

Nice try, pig troll.

I do think Arkansas and Missouri get paired up as permanent opponents.

I’d like Auburn to have Alabama, UGA, and Florida.

I really don’t give a frick about you schools west of the Alabama border.
