All things considered, Jimbo has done a decent job in his first year. But one thing Jimbo has to contend with that Saban never did -- Saban never had to share a division with Saban.

True. But Saban never had to share a division with Jimbo until now. He's going to get pushed into retirement with Jimbo and Smart taking turns.

Read up on the infighting and selfishness on that 2007 team Saban inherited. DJ Hall and some of the other "stars" were absolute cancers. It was a toxic situation. Between the probation, highly overrated recruiting classes, and dealing with all of the good ole boys who Saban had to purge from the program, it makes the quick ascent a modern day miracle.
