At his first head coaching gig Jimbo had a fantastic record.
Out of 7 seasons that he coached from start to finish, he had six 10+ win seasons.
Only 2 of them was with Jameis Winston in 2013-14.
Without superstar Winston, he had four 10+ win seasons and one 9 win season.
Four times finished in the top 10.
So how did he end up being a donkey at aggy?

It’s pretty obvious the game has passed him by and he refuses to change or delegate. He isn’t a CEO type like Kirby or Saban and that’s why he face planted hard.

What does that mean?
It is not like he doesn't use the transfer portal or sucks at recruiting. He had at least 4 top 10 recruiting classes.

We have our turds, and I will hit them sometimes. I also get that ribbing is part of the fun here. TBS, there are some that are just a really bad reflection, especially the ones that reach too far and/or start thread after thread of just crap.

Clemson finished in the top ten 7 times during the Jimbo era.
So like the SEC, the ACC was producing two powerhouse programs a year.
Rest of conference, good or bad, just riding coattails.
