The perception that he’s a little yipping dog at Saban’s ankles was only reinforced.

He should’ve kept his mouth shut.

Anyone that truly believes Jimbo came out as the winner is either an Aggy or a Biden voter.

No he didn't. Jimbo looked like a coach who is willing to challenge Saban in the Press. Most coaches agree with him, but keep their mouth shut due to coaching protocol. Jimbo stepped on that and then took it to another level going after Saban personally. You see other former Saban Coaches coming out or whistling in silence. Next thing to watch will be how Saban reacts to Jimbo longterm.

I think the national opinion is otherwise. I think Saban's ended up on the short end of this story.

They both look like bold faced liars. Period. Lying straight to everyone’s faces. Has a different feel now that it’s in the open that players are being paid.

Saban was born an hour from Jimbo's birthplace. They are both hillbillies.

Jimbo came out the winner short term. We will see what happens next. Saban started this because he knows that NIL will destroy what he built and will hurt CF long term. He wants change by the NCAA and knew it would take some extreme measures for it to happen. He took it one level too far, but he gave it a lot of thought before opening his mouth. He expected some pushback, but Jimbo didn't hold back.

Worse? They both came across as whiny little bitches. Was Jimbo whiny-er? I guess, but they both know they didn't get where they are with clean hands.

Dumbo was just mad enough to take a shot beyond NIL and say what everyone already knew... Nick Saban has been a lying, cheating scumbag his entire career.

Take it for what its worth but from an outsiders prospective I agree that Jimbo came off looking worse. Saban is going to Saban and everything that he has said the past few months has kind of been taken as an "ok grandpa" with a roll of the eyes. Jimbo called a full press conference after peepaw made some off the cuff comments at a booster event. A local radio guy said it best yesterday, all Jimbo needed to do was say something along the lines of "hey, we followed the rules. Times change and rules change. I dont make the rules and if other coaches dont like it they need to take that up with the people that do." Thats it, end of "feud". Instead he sat up there like he's been on a coke bender for 3 days rambling about Bobby Bowden being the pinnacle of integrity.

Yeah Saban should have not called them out the way he did but what he said everyone outside of a&m believes is the truth. So Saban is not making anything up that most do not already believe. Jimbo is the one that should have not responded because he gave the response Saban was looking for and once again in the national spotlight made himself look like an idiot and even more guilty.

Not one time did Saban say a&m or Jimbo did one thing illegal but Jimbo went on a rant that they did nothing wrong.

Jimbo did something no other coach has done, he swiftly kicked Saban right in the nutsack.

And every other NCAA coach quietly applauded.

Soo the national opinion = a couple of brothas on ESPN who didn't like Saban "attacking a HBCU"?

Yeah, I don't think so.

I was out of the country for the last week and landed back in the US last night around midnight eastern. Had to drive about 2.5 hours home from the airport and listened to it on sports radio. Almost all the commentators as well as the fans were on Jimbo's side.

I will go watch the actual videos later today so I dont have an opinion yet. My guess is there it is being blown up more than it actually should be like just about everything else in todays culture.

Just for reference, I live in the Atlanta area, so it wasn't like this was Texas media taking a side.

You don't do that by making it personal. It's one thing to not back down against the big dog, but when you make personal attacks against someone while doing it 900 miles away, it makes you look like a coward and it makes it look like you've got something to hide. I would expect nothing less from a coach who allowed his star player to get away with rape and theft while coaching at FSU
