I’m going to miss him. He can be an assassin late in the game.

my selfish side hates this. My other side wishes Jared the very best of everything. I hope he reaches his dreams and goals. He is a true legend in the history of Auburn University.

Thank you for everything, Jared. War Eagle!

Great kid and leader. Laid the groundwork for hopefully several years of competing for AU basketball.

Fun fact: Jared can play the saxophone IRL

My ESPN alert says he’s #61 in the top 100. He might get drafted after all.

The problem with that is there are only two rounds and 30 picks in each round. I do hope somebody gives him a shot.

I hope he eventually does well wherever he goes. Just please don’t go to Charlotte or to Brooklyn.

I figured this was coming. I think he's hit his ceiling at this level. I hope it works out for him and he makes an NBA team. If not, there's a ton of money for him in Europe.

I love that kid. He was so fun to watch. Absolutely fearless. He will go down as one of the all-time greats in the SEC. Godspeed Jared, and thank you for a wonderful college career. Go get all you can get. War Eagle.

Okeke up next?

Possibly...still considered a late 1st Rounder

28. Golden State Warriors: Chuma Okeke (Auburn, PF, Sophomore)

Before tearing his ACL against North Carolina in the Sweet 16, Okeke's draft-stock arrow was pointing up. Unlikely to find a difference-making rookie, the Warriors could look years down the road, past Okeke's recovery, and see a multi-position defender who can stretch the floor and score around the rim.

Can't blame him for taking his shot. I think he'll have trouble defending in today's NBA, but I could see him making it at the end of someone's bench. I was hoping AU would have him for his senior year.

If not the NBA, he will be able to make good money overseas.

I loved watching him play, but wish him nothing but the best. Took Auburn to new heights and nearly a NC.

I think he can play in the NBA, but he without a doubt would make big bucks in the 1st divisions in Europe.

Eh, Euroleague is way better than you give it credit for. Harper could work his way up to being a EL starter but he's not there yet. He's got the quickness and skill but decision-making and size is going to be a problem for Harper in the half-court game that is Europe. Sergio Llull, Mike James, Nick Calathes, and Scottie Wilbekin would eat his lunch right now.

I doubt he sticks in the NBA long but he could be a guy who gets a cup of coffee on a 2-way. American basketball is a better fit for Harper than European basketball. He could get paid to put up 40 a game in China, too.
