seriously, I worked the state of alabama for years and found many educated folks. your university, like LSU and others, have too many sidewalk fans that treat the program like a professional sport instead of a college one. hell, i'm an LSU alum and I've known a number of LSU fans I would refuse to go to a game with. I want LSU to win every game we play but in the end college football is a game played by young students.

The only places remotely close to cosmopolitan in Alabama are Huntsville, which is a great city, and Birmingham to an extent. The rest of the state is an eyesore laden with pine trees, mobile homes, poverty and sadness.
