Alabama didn't win until 2008, long after Tennessee died. Southern Bias was very real back in the day

Interesting. Nobody even asked.

Sorry didn’t read your post on Majors. Peyton lost because of a political campaign run by ESPN. They did the same with Eli and Larry Fitzgerald.

They didn’t want to give a conservative wealthy family any props. Peyton losing proved to me the award is useless crap. Not worth sweating over. Peyton was by far the best player in college football. It wasn’t close. Just crap.

Charles Woodson was better in college…and, he was also better in the NFL.

The Manning’s are the Alabama of football families. Entitled bitches.

All P. Manning had to do was beat Florida…just once. Could not get it done.

Forgot about him? That says it all. And Peyton is a Manning so we remember him in college.

As years go by most heisman winners are forgettable.

I could make a list of players from the past I remember being great in the past and the majority never got a shot at the heisman.

It’s a joke.

Played on Neyland's 1951 National Championship Team.

Finished second...to a guy from Princeton.

People forget he lost it to Charles Woodson - a 9 time pro bowler and an NFL Hall of Famer. Most would put Woodson in the top 3 DB's in NFL history.

But, yeah, it has always been an offensive award, so in that sense you could say Manning got screwed.

How many times was Woodson the NFL MVP, you idiot?

I think Peyton was MVP about 5 times.

My Heisman dream is for a Tennessee player to win, and not show up for the ceremony.

Leave them standing there with an empty podium.

If Manning played for Michigan and Woodson for Tennessee; who wins? I think we all know.

The biggest theft in the history of the award occurred back in the 90’s or Tennessee would have one.

Honestly not even the biggest theft out of the Tennessee players. Majors should have won the Heisman.

Piss on that award. Peyton and Johnny deserved it but the Yankee media wouldn’t allow it. The people that vote on it hardly care about football.

Y'all vols really believe this, don't you?

In the last 20 years, if Jayden wins:

12 winners from the south (southeast and TX)
4 more from Oklahoma (s'west)
3 from West Coast
1 from the north (Ohio State)

Now look up how many SEC players won it from 1980-2000.

3 SEC Heisman winners.

From 1960-1980 there only 2 SEC Heisman winners.

No he shouldn’t of. Heath was great, but Charlie Ward was the best player in the country that year.

He finished second, not third.
