Assistants move on all the time. Bobby Williams has had three different stints with Saban.

I think they have been together every year since '95 except '00-'02 when Williams was HC at Mich St. Man knows how to take shite, must be a good husband.

Maybe you don't know the reason he was removed from on the field coaching, though it is easy to google. Afterwards, Saban kept his friend in the non-field position until now, but he was advised that it was time to look elsewhere due to the previous issue and shelf life.

You can Google search if you do not know the details, but I suspect you do and just want to rah rah. In that case.. good for you.

I Googled all over the place to no result.

Jazz - In short, in 2014 or so there was a recruiting violation relating to contact at a time not allowed...which by itself was minor. But supposedly the whole story was not related by Coach Williams correctly to Saban.

Saban's loyalty to Williams probably hurt us more than he help. BAMA special teams have been of the weak spots during this run.

Jack - So there's no link as to why he was asked to seek employment elsewhere ? Supposedly a rumor that was not related correctly ?

First issue is why he was moved to off the field job in early 2016, yet retained an on field salary for two years.

Second issue, transfer to Oregon, is somewhat speculative though I was told by usually reliable folks that shelf life of loyalty had been satisfied. It probably would not have happened without first issue in early 2016.

Jacknola, you seem like a man of integrity. I accept your explanation. No further trolling from me on this issue.

I remember when teams actually thought they could beat Saban. Now they cower and pray for the day he retires.

You know what that makes you...

Why is a mizzou fan worried about nick saban and Bama?

I think it’s V&S impersonating a LSU poster impersonating a Mizzou poster.

It’s actually genius.
