Nothing funny about that. That is just a sound, logical, and strategic move that will improve the conference.

How is that not funny? Who would pass up the chance to laugh at Missouri being the first program ever kicked out? You must be LSU-level-low-IQ if you dont think that would be funny.

Nope. It's not going to happen.

All things holding steady - it *would* likely happen. But downward trending (viewership) is going to start settling in.

Renegotiation will be the next thing to kick in - not expansion of a failing enterprise. If anything, conferences will be forced to kick schools out to keep the boat floating.

This monster has begun to eat itself. There won't be any new big ideas, unless it's addition by subtraction.

ABC and Espn had record setting cfb viewership last season, Fox is also still trending up year by year

FSU actually cares about winning but has no money

If they started getting sec money and the platform of being in the sec they would be dangerous

What surprises me is when you compare the Big12 to the ACC, the lineup of schools in the ACC are much better than the ones in the Big12. The ACC still distributes more money per school. So, I really don't understand this perception that the Big12, with its portfolio of directional schools, is somehow better than the ACC.

For now. But if UNC and/or others pull up stakes, this is going to change. One thing the Big 12 has going for it that it hasn't had in a long time is stability.

Thats not going to happen- FSU and Clem (playing an ACC schedule) have better tv viewership than 75% of the SEC and 90% of the BIG

People want to watch the best teams on TV. Your acc champion, last year, was 0-3 against the SEC. No one cares to watch the acc

That’s one year, the acc(Clem fsu really) is .500 against the sec in natty games since bcs. All other conferences combined for one win against the sec in the same time frame. Also are you actually suggesting usce is on par with fsu and Clemson in football. Cuz that’s a joke

Clemson and FSU are not AAU schools, so the Big 10 may not be interested.

I don't think Nebraska is, so I think if the Big smells more money it will not be an issue.

They will make more money in the Big 12 and raise that league's profile. I'm not sure why the B1G or SEC would allow that.

Then WHO would you like to see in the SEC?

It’ll mean we will have 3 power conferences instead of 2.

& who teams up to knock out the 3rd conference?

B1G - XII would love to be a P2 & SEC removes its strongest opponent
SEC - XII would love to be a P2 & B1G removes its strongest opponent
XII - SEC & B1G have most of the top teams, so could make XII close up shop like the ACC

How is the Big12 more stable? The Big Ten poached Nebraska. A&M, Mizzou, Texas, and Oklahoma all left for the SEC.

This is often always overlooked, usce mizz and atm all received sec bumps in talent and overall program. Arky is the only school that got worse but I think they were on that trajectory regardless due to population/demographic reasons.

The enrollment at Clemson is actually a little bit less than OU. They are in the state of South Carolina, which already has an SEC school. Population of South Carolina is 5.4 million.

Florida State has nearly 2x the enrollment of OU or Clemson. Florida also has an SEC school, but the state has 23-million residents.

FSU will be the big fish of the two.
