You need to learn the definition of complaining. I just don’t think UGA selling a bunch of gear after a 40 year championship drought is newsworthy. I’d be more shocked if they didn’t sell a bunch of shite

I might be in the minority here, but I've never bought championship gear. I've never liked the look of any of it. Would rather just buy regular team logo apparel

Same.

The only gear I own is an LSU hoodie and I've worn it like once in the last 4 years

You’ve won 1 title in 40 years. Now you’re projecting 3 in 9?

I can't/shouldn't speak for him, but he said 2-3, not 3. Is it so unreasonable to say we might win 2 in the next 9 years?

Yes, it's been 42 since the last one, but LSU went 45 in between and then in the next 9 years won 2.....so, is it really wild and impossible that we could do as well?

Apparently until we win more than them in the BCS/CFP era, they're not going to STFU, and likely not even then.

But you used sidewalkers like it is a dirty word. I mean Alabama is known for their sidewalker fans.

FTR? I typically buys a couple of Georgia hats every year and that's it. my wife might buy me a t-shirt if she finds them on sale at Sam's Club or some place.

I did not go to Georgia, but my daughter was in the Honor's program there and graduated with a double degree.

Maybe I just took your post wrong? Always possible.

Honest question (I know how we all like posts that start like that..)

Why do you care about how many tshirts Georgia sold?

What a weird thing to put so much mental energy into. That goes for all things college athletics.

Yeah, they've gotten less particular about their sweatshop standards, lately. I don't know if the move away from cotton to the Dri-Fit material has something to do with it, or if it's universal with them.

It could happen. We'll have to wait and see. I get it. We are an up and coming program threatening Championships, and they seem to be falling off a bit.

Does it impact my daily life? Not one bit.

That UGA fans would snatch up gear commemorating our first NC in 41 years is the least shocking development. If you'll go back and reread what I wrote in the OP, I was more surprised that 2020 Bama NC stuff was the top-selling of all time, than anything. One would think that one of their earlier championships might've been a better seller.

It does just mean more. Was the same for State in baseball...

Broke the record in 24 hours

In the first 24 hours, MSU became Fanatics' best-selling College World Series champion ever, eclipsing the previous record-holding 2017 Florida Gators according to Saturday's D1.Ticker newsletter. Through Thursday, 2021 National Championship sales were already five-times more than 2017 and nine-times larger than the previous College World Series in 2019.

Again....speaking for him....but....

1. As long as it is an honest question I love them, (Yours was, I think, honest)
2. Take a look at all the other threads on the front page and the ones you have seen lately. Is this one the worst? Far from it, I would say.
3. Would everybody be interested in the topic? no. I doubt it. But I am not interested in most of the other topics that show up on the board, either.

Excellent point. Thanks for a non-UGA/Bama perspective.

Were they thinking we were going to buy it in bulk?

After 41 years......yes. I'm sure we will.
(Not me. I'm too cheap.)

I am wanting a National Championship Program, bad, but they are going for $25-$40 on ebay. I will wait a month or two and hope they go down to $15 or so. Like I said. Cheap. I saw some 2019 LSU programs going for about $7.50 or so.

Curious. Did you get a program from 2010? They're great memorabilia pieces. They don't take up much room and look really nice if you have them framed. I used to have a TON of baseball memorabilia (Signed jerseys, bats, baseballs, programs, newspapers) Sold it all to a friend.

quote: While I firmly believe Georgia will win 2-3 more CFP trophies before we see 2030 Lol. Look, great year for you guys. Enjoy it. But Bama lost its top 2 wr’s in the post season play. That was the difference between game one and game 2. Let’s not act like you guys went out and dominated everyone on both sides of the ball with a hard schedule.

Georgia was so decimated by injuries at WR, our leading receiver was freshman, Ladd McKonkey. 3 of our 4 TDs in the NCG were scored by freshman. According to most, if not all, CFB analysts, Georgia was the best team in CFB. I understand your Auburn butt hurt. Your program is irrelevant. But facts are facts.

I’ve mostly ordered from smaller operations with cooler, unique designs and more high quality shops like Peter Millar. Most of what I’ve ordered are commemorative books and wall decor for my sports room and office.

Nike label clothing is absolute trash now. Nike Tees in particular fit like crap.
