There's a reason Saban changed his offense.

Yeah that’s why UGA got skulldragged.

Like I wrote yesterday, Bear had same problem against the General.

See it on boxing all the time. Norton gave Ali fits while he couldn't last a round against Foreman

The problem at Ga (and TA&M for that matter) starts and ends with who they run out there at QB.

Neither has recruited and/or fielded a truly good QB in five-six years. Maybe the offensive systems don’t attract QBs, or maybe they don’t use them, or whatever…

Saban used to default to game manager-defense wins, types… but Kiffin taught us how a QB can control a game. Ga. and Stetson Bennett? Really? Or a transfer retread from Furman or someplace? Really?

7 in a row vs UGA and 8 in row vs UF.

No loses to SEC east in over a decade.

The disparity in QBs the other night is like night and day. Until Kirby can accept high level QB play Georgia will always have problems in these type games.

Maybe the sec east programs are making georgia seem better than they are

SEC East + Auburn I suppose. We beat them more regularly than we beat UT or KY

Going 12-1 is far from choking against everybody

It's not so much choking as it is compared to Saban Kirby Smart is very, very mediocre. Saban simply game plans and game day coaches at a level Smart will never attain.

Saban is the Goat and he has done more than made UGA choke. Most of the west is also staring down the barrel of that gun
Saban has carried on the Alabama tradition of dominating the SEC and improved the numbers.

But like LSU found out years ago vs the Tide, Bama will find it just as hard to beat UGA a second time should they meet.
Not really, the regular season winner is 5-3 in the SECC game rematch. Not that hard to beat same team twice. Utah just smoked Oregon twice within 3 weeks.

Bama swept UF in 1999
UF swept AU in 2000
LSU and UT split in 2001
LSU swept UGA in 2003
AU swept UT in 2004
UGA and LSU split in 2005
AU swept SC in 2010
UGA and AU split in 2017

His problem vs the General was that he was at UK and the General was at UT, along with the fact that the General was experienced and Bryant was in his 2nd year as a HC when he started playing UT. Neyland was a great coach but if Bryant had been at Bama in say his 10th year when he started playing vs the General things would have likely been very different.

My son and I were cracking up at this. Like, why is he acting like he just got sniped with a .50?

If you put Georgia in the West it can be argued they wouldn't have made one single SEC Championship Game under Kirby. A very weak East has enabled Kirby to seem dominate.
