I don’t get how it would work. So Ole Miss goes to the playoff. Wins first round. Does LSU/UF just tell players “we have a coach we just can’t tell you who”? Won’t they know it’s one of the playoff coaches? How would it not get leaked before Jan 2nd? So is Ole Miss going into the playoff game knowing they’re losing their coach? And if Ole Miss wins quarterfinals/semifinals, does LSU/UF just skip the portal opening or sign players without a coach?
It seems like it would be a huge disadvantage to hire one of the 8 coaches that make it to the quarterfinals. All the other schools would have a head start on building their new teams. Plus how terrible it would look if a coach bailed on his team in the middle of a CFP run

It’s CFB it’s turned to shite everything about it is ruined Kiff knows he can win it all at LSU He knows he can’t win it all at OM. He like the players these days wil take the money at the best program

Oxford isn’t a shithole, but its bottom half of the sec. Nashville, Athens, Columbia SC, Tuscaloosa, Fayetteville, Knoxville, Auburn all better unless you pick an obscure metric, like “quaintness”.
Oxford is a nice town, but its bottom 1/3 in the sec only ahead of college station, Starkville, como, and more on par with BR or Lexington.
I lived there for 3 years. It’s small.

Kiffin wouldn’t think once.
If Kiffin ever decided to leave Ole Miss, it would be for an elite job. LSU is not an elite job. At best, it’s lateral to Ole Miss, based on conference, ability to win, ability to gather and pay talent, and ability to pay the coach what is required for him and his staff. Ole Miss is the better job when looking at the town and the pressure to win. NIL and the playoffs have leveled the playing field.
Right now, Kiffin’s happy where he is, his family is happy where they are, and for the time being, I doubt even an elite job could pull him away.
