Let’s really think about this.
OM’s infield.
1B Zabowski back
2B Adams could go in the draft , probably won’t. If he does plug in Servideo.
SS - Kessinger back
3B - Keenan back
Catcher - Fortes gone. We probably have the best defensive catcher in all of college baseball backing him up in Cooper Johnson.
LF - Dillard
CF - I think you see Michael Spears here. Another beast out of Winter Park , FL
RF - probably Tim Elko. He played some 3B this season but again this team is so deep he couldn’t find the field. He would’ve started at SS for LSU.
Weekend rotation is Fowler , Roth , Miller
Guys that all have contributed on the mound this season.
I haven’t said 1 word about a newcomer. We’re stockpiling talent and you know we’ll bring in some impact freshmen and JUCOs.
Meanwhile LSU:
1B Bain gone
2B does Broussard stay ?
3B Slaughter er blows. Surely Josh Smith will be here.
SS Hughes will be good eventually. I guess. Can’t be any worse at the plate.
C Feduccia gone
OF Duplantis gone
OF Watson All SEC performer
OF Cabrera best returning player on the roster
The Jordan twins will both be gone. A lot of leadership walks out the door with those guys and Bain.
I just don’t see how LSU is supposed to be so much better losing guys like Duplantis , Feduccia and Bain.
The pitching staff will have lots of pressure on it because the offense just ain’t going to be there early in the season.

Oh please stop before you embarrass yourself. Win one tournament an now you’re something special? Enjoy the win... but don’t get carried away with it.

Without looking it up, tell me who Eric Walker, AJ Labas, and Nick Storz are.
If you don't know, admit you don't know.

I like how you completely skipped over LSU’s pitching staff next year. Keep picking and choosing your arguments brother

Good game, good season, why be a dick about it though? Act like you have been there.

Jake Mangum owned this all world Ole Miss team

I’m not saying we suck, we are obviously still dangerous when we do have a team that is truly rebuilding. We lost a ton of production from last year(including all three starting pitchers), you brought most back in all phases. Just wait till we get Walker back...him plus Hess/Hilliard will be a nasty trio on the mound

ole miss fans trash talking baseball with lsu fans. checks out.
it takes mainieri's worst team since '08 for ole miss fans to feel superior.
in the last 10 years, lsu has a top 5 cws record. ole miss....not so much

You can always predict a thread like this. LSU is not allowed to have a bad season by their standards. Ole Miss is a better team than LSU, be humble and be proud of your SEC Tournament championship. The question is, what is Ole Miss going to do with that? How about a national championship. If this is the best team Ole Miss has since having Bianco, let's see a NC. This thread should be about Omaha and Natty's. Let's see a fricking NC!!!

Regardless, you’re talking 1 game, anybody can get up for 1 game. We lost ours ALL season

Get to Omaha, win a couple games, and your success will be cemented in the history books. Do that a few times over the next 5-10 years, and we can revisit this conversation.
OleMiss is good this year. Real good. But there’s been a lot of times in the past Ole Miss has been really good and didn’t close the deal in the postseason to truly put itself on the map as a baseball power.
Congrats on the SEC title. It’s a great accomplishment. Now the real season begins.
South Carolina had the magic for a while, recently Vandy and Florida have it, Ole Miss can definitely grab that torch... but you have to finish, and that starts this week and ends in Omaha.

Only question is who will be next ?
