They’re going to hold him back for 15 days or whatever the magic number is to keep this from counting as his first full year in the MLB and then call him up. Most teams do it to avoid having to offer their young talent money a year earlier than they have to. ...

He has struggled with finding the zone and his confidence is down. He did his job efficiently, it’s a confidence builder. He’ll get a full inning next time, and then put in a pressure situation after he gets through that. CJJ is doing the right thing giving him short stints....

Anyone that thinks that Kelly has only reached out to one person, even if it was his dream hire, is out of their minds. There’s a zero % chance that Kelly termed our entire defensive staff without already having a pulse on multiple different options.
