What is my prediction. PAIN

Denard is not fast enough to run away from Bama's D. They were able to catch a guy who is in London on the USA 100m track team. Also Bama DBs catch deep balls that look like dying ducks. Denard does not have a big enough arm to beat Bama deep. Saban and Smart will stack the box and not let Denard get free.

IMO Bama's D will win the game easily. Though Greg Mattison is a really good coach. Michigan's D will surprise people but wear down in the 4th.

Gotta respect your opinion, but why do you think Michigan keeps it close when they will (in all likelihood) be dominated at the LoS.

I expect Michigan's Dline to be pretty good. Greg Mattison had the best Dline I have ever seen with the UF 2006 team. He had just two years to make them, just like this year's Michigan team. Michigan is probably not as deep at DL as UF 2006 but their starters will be ready.

Now I expect UM to have a good DL, but they return 1 out of 4 guys and it'll be their first game of the season going up against the best OL in the country, and the best run blocking TE. To each their own though.

Oregon was by far the favorite in that game they were preseason 3 and we were 4, but our starting QB was suspended for retardedness, which most people spun as a distraction and a huge negative for the team, but those that knew what that suspension really meant were like yay, we may win this one.

Bama is preseason 2 and Michigan is 8 and I am sure the spread is probably 10+. Not exactly similar situations to start the season.

LSU didn't jump to #1 till after beating the 'eers which was the fourth game of the season.

This. And I believe Oregon was #4 when LSU played them, could be wrong there but I'm certain they were top 5. That being said, I believe Bama beats Michigan by 10+

Pre-season ranking don't mean jack, anyway.

Ask Oklahoma, 2011.

Yeah, it's fun and makes for great discussion- but as we were taught last year ( ), it's not where you start, it's where you FINISH.

Both LSU & Bama are solid teams deserving of lofty expectations. However, being highly ranked also means EVERYONE would love to claim your scalp only that much more....

I think the game will be very close until the end and will be decided within 7 points. BAMA squeaks one out 27-21.

I'd agree with that, but nothing is certain- so they shouldn't take Michigan lightly.

Things could be fun if 'Bama and LSU are like they were last year. You've got to admit, it was awe inspiring to watch both of those teams just obliterate their opponents week in and week out. It was like something from the 60s or 70s. I think if one team had not been as strong, the other would be talked about as perhaps the most dominating team in modern football history.

Jayson Werth looks stupid with the full beard.

LSU and Bama were so superior last year. Never seen anything like it. New stars will emerge for Bama. Michigan is outclassed. No chance. F Saban though

Last season was best LSU team in my lifetime. 39 years old. Unfortunate that Bama just happened to be in their way. F ok st for losing to Iowa.

This, even though I will root for Michigan I don't see them scoring at all.

Really?
There is no way Bama loses to ULM.
There is no way Bama loses to Utah.
There is now way Miami loses to Bama.
They play the game for a reason. Far bigger upsets than #8 over # 2 will happen THIS YEAR and you don't see how you can lose.
Bama lost its best offensive player, their top 2 wr, their best pass catching te, their top two lb, both starting cb , and your best safety. Yes no way on earth Bama can lose.

This was a shock?

Meh..only if they beat them like 52-10 or something..if it is like a 38-17 type ballgame then no, IMO..Either situations could pan out though, but UM won't get close to winning

But we probably take it back after beating UW
