How stupid are these dudes that post pictures of their new cars after committing or enrolling in school?
He's at Bama. He could literally have captioned that it "thanks for the car REC" and the NCAA response would be to look for more shite on Ole Miss.

We are not racists here on tRant. We are racially aware. There is a difference.

Every car that a player has is documented as to where, when, how it was purchased by the Compliance Dept.

It really is unbelievable how many Bama players suddenly get new rides out of the blue. Trent Richardson grew up in the projects, yet his KFC-working mom was able to buy him a brand new Tahoe.
Is this a true story??

Maybe his family can actually afford to buy or lease a car?
The subtle racism is hilarious. No one bats an eye when certain other players show up to school in new vehicles

+/-$5,400/yr in cost of attendance stipends like Alabama?
quote:You obviously don't understand how COA stipends work, do you?
This is still the shadiest shite of it all. On no planet can Alabama justify having one of the highest "Cost of attendance" stipends in the NCAA. It's absolutely crazy it's like 2 grand higher than some other SEC schools.
You recruit 75% of you roster in-state and you COA will be much lower that a program that recruits/signs a roster with 75% of the players OOS.

This is a loophole. A university can allow a student employee to drive a school owned car as long as it is in the university name. Every big time program does this. LSU does ford, Chevy, and dodge and I have seen Jordan Jefferson almost run people over in a charger. Arkansas does the same. My time in fayetteville I saw the same thing. Get over it. Every player gets a few thousand at a time on every trip he makes. Every big time recruit gets a car. And every player gets free clothing

I always laugh at this because while I am not näive to the way some student athletes get cars "financed" at certain dealerships, when I lived in Atlanta I knew/saw dudes with minimum wage jobs and no "street" abilities rolling around in luxury cars all the time. Honestly it isn't that hard to get a nice car with no money if you don't care about your credit or it getting repoed and if you can find a shady dealer (which isn't hard to find). Throw in a näive or complicit relative to cosign and you can easily roll off the lot in an Escalade in the A.

You know the fricking SEC won't say a damn word either. Imagine if it was a different school? The SEC would be all over them.

You people are so fricking dumb.
Go to any college campus and look at the vehicles in the lot. Now, tell me why Bama players should all drive '84 cavaliers.

Using your logic every single HS recruit in america that's a high 3* or better would only want to play for about 4 different college programs. That isn't how it works.
If every HS recruit listed their #1 choice, regardless of whether or not they had a shot at getting into said school, there would only be a handful of schools named.
Not one single player at UTSA, FAU, or Georgia St dreamed of playing for those schools.
